“At best, about five years, at worst – ten years”, – Elon Musk increases the time of delivery of people to Mars

Tesla founder Elon Musk said in an interview with Lex Friedman that his company SpaceX will send people to Mars no earlier than five years from now, although before that he was much more optimistic.

Lex Friedman asked the question, “When do you think SpaceX will land humans on Mars?” Elon Musk thought for 10 seconds, after which he replied: “At best, about five years, at worst – ten years.”

He clarified that the most important thing in this matter is rocket technology: “We are creating a completely new rocket. I mean Starship is the most sophisticated rocket ever made. This is really the next level. “

Starship’s fundamental optimization is about minimizing the cost of getting a ton of cargo into orbit and, ultimately, a ton of cargo to the surface of Mars.

The SpaceX Starship spacecraft is designed to transport crew and cargo to low-earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond, as stated on the SpaceX website. It will be able to deliver over 100 tons to low-earth orbit.

Earlier, Elon Musk was confident that people would land on Mars earlier. Musk told the Clubhouse in February this year that SpaceX’s manned interplanetary spacecraft could land on Mars in about “five and a half years.” Musk tweeted in March that SpaceX would land an interstellar spacecraft on Mars by 2030. Later, in an interview with Time magazine, he stated: “I would be surprised if we do not land on Mars within five years.”

In the same interview, Elon Musk said that under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, a scientist in the field of computer science and cryptography Nick Szabo may be hiding.

The launch of the new PS Plus will take place on May 24 in Asia, then it will be available in Japan on June 2, after June 13 North and South America will be connected, and in other markets the service will become available on June 27.

The Central Bank proposed a mechanism for recalling bank transfers

Director of the information security department of the Central Bank Vadim Uvarov said that the Central Bank proposed to introduce a two-day “cooling off period” during which it would be possible to withdraw the transfer if it was made to a fraudulent account.

The Central Bank maintains a special database that contains information about dropper accounts used to withdraw and subsequently cash out stolen funds. The Central Bank wants to oblige banks to suspend transfers to accounts for two days, information about which is contained in the Central Bank database.

We propose to introduce a certain “cooling off period”, which will allow you to save and not transfer money to scammers. Currently, by law, a transaction must be completed within three business days. Thus, banks do not violate the rights of our citizens.

The receiving bank must check the transaction for signs of fraud. If a credit institution notices that money is being transferred to an account contained in the Central Bank database, then it should have the right to suspend the access of the owner of such an account to remote servicing.

According to the Central Bank, in the first quarter of 2022, 90 thousand fraudulent numbers and 1.3 thousand phishing sites were sent for blocking. In 2022, there is a serious increase in the number of illegal transactions using the fast payment system (FPS). In March, the number of such incidents increased several times.
