Asustor AS-U2.5G2 adapter converts USB 3.2 Gen1 port to 2.5 GbE port

The Asustor brand, dedicated by Asus to promote networked storage, has unveiled the AS-U2.5G2 adapter. This is an external USB 3.2 Gen1 port adapter converting it to a 2.5 GbE port. The USB port is used not only for data transfer, but also provides power.

The basis of the novelty is the Realtek RTL8156B controller. Connection to the USB Type-C connector is carried out with a built-in cable. Compatibility with USB Type-A connectors is provided by the included adapter.

With dimensions of 195 x 23.4 x 16.4 mm, the device weighs 33 g. It is estimated by the manufacturer at $ 49.
