After a significant increase in screen sizes over the past few years, this year the trend has changed – the flagships have become more compact. A typical example is Xiaomi 12 with a 6.28-inch screen versus Xiaomi 11 with a 6.81-inch screen. But what if he wants an even more compact flagship than the Xiaomi 12? There will be one, and it is called Asus Zenfone 9.

Judging by the promotional video that Asus released today, the Zenfone 9 will be the ultimate dream for many. There are really small sizes, and high-quality camera sensors (even if there are only two of them), and IP68 protection, and even a standard headphone jack! There is a feeling that Asus listens to the wishes of users more than market leaders.

Asus Zenfone 9 will be built on the SoC Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The resolution and frame rate of the Samsung AMOLED screen will be Full HD + and 120 Hz. Due to the fact that the matrix size is small, only 5.9 inches, the pixel density will be quite high.

The design of the camera is somewhat reminiscent of Huawei smartphones – there are also two peculiar rings. Each contains a module with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. Basically there will be a six-axis stabilization system. The battery capacity is 4300 mAh, but this is normal for such a compact model. Even more: the same Samsung Galaxy S22 with a screen with a diagonal of 6.1 inches is equipped with a battery with a capacity of only 3700 mAh.

Previously, the Nothing Phone (1) smartphone was tested in the AnTuTu benchmark, where it unexpectedly showed the best result in its class. At the same time, the smartphone endured the drop test worse. It is noteworthy that the screen can withstand drops in the presence of a film, but the back panel suffers much more.

The price of the smartphone is from 469 euros for the basic memory configuration.

Insiders have repeatedly noted that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in terms of design is not much different from the current generation model. They don’t expect a revolution in terms of technical parameters either – the main innovation will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, but the camera sensors, apparently, will remain 12-megapixel. However, it is expected that the battery capacity will increase to 3700 mAh.

Roland Quandt is a well-known informant. Previously, he completely declassified the GoPro 9 Black and GoPro 10 Black action cameras before their announcement, and also named their exact cost.

The official premiere of the iPhone 14 smartphones will take place in September, and a comparison of the current iPhone 13 Pro and the promising iPhone 14 Pro has already been published on the Web. And the comparison is live.

Usually, production of a new generation of iPhone starts in early summer, so theoretically these photos could be a production iPhone 14 Pro, although it is more likely that this is a prototype or even a mock-up. Be that as it may, in terms of dimensions and layout, it should not differ from the retail version.

The photo clearly shows how different the front cameras and screen cutouts are in the current and future models. The screen bezel on the iPhone 14 Pro is also smaller. The main camera block in the iPhone 14 Pro is larger than the similar block in the iPhone 13 Pro, and the lenses protrude more out of the body.

In the new lineup, only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to receive the Apple A16 SoC. Also, the Pro versions are credited with a 48-megapixel module in a block with an ultra-wide-angle lens and support for 8K video recording.
