ASUS Registers New Motherboard for Zen 3
The silicon deficit in Chinese factories is still a hot topic among those who want to buy new processors and video cards. However, for those who managed to snatch a piece of silicon and are now waiting for new motherboards to be more powerful, the Taiwanese motherboard manufacturer is preparing a surprise.
ASUS registers new model of TUF series motherboard. According to @ harukaze5719 insider, it will be an improved version of ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS, which will receive the PRO prefix.

Apparently, PRO will indicate an improved power subsystem, which has always been the main difference of this console in the TUF line. If we compare the current motherboards from this series, they also differ in the number of connectors for fans, PCIe slots and other peripheral outputs. Some versions receive improved sound on the ALC S1200A chip instead of the ALC 887. Accordingly, the older model has an optical audio output on board.
ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PRO is likely preparing for powerful octa-core processors like Ryzen 7 5800X or even Ryzen 9 series models and will be able to overclock them without overheating the VRM.

$7,000 for 64 cores up to 4.5GHz. AMD Threadripper 5000WX processors launched in China

At first there were rumors about this, then AMD officially confirmed everything: the powerful AMD Threadripper 5000WX processors will go on sale and become available to everyone. As it turned out, the CPU is already available in China.
The official start of sales is in July, at the same time the recommended retail prices will be announced. In the meantime, sellers are asking for Threadripper 5000WX much more than what they asked for their predecessors. Thus, the 64-core Threadripper 5995WX is offered for $7,030, while the official cost of the Threadripper 3995WX is $5,850. The 32-core Threadripper 5975WX is priced at $3,590, while its predecessor, the Threadripper 3975WX, is officially listed at $2,750. The Threadripper 5965WX is also available in China for the equivalent of $2,570.
The 16-core 5955WX and the 12-core 5945WX were left behind. Maybe they won’t go to retail at all.

GeForce GTX 1630 is officially presented: GTX 1650 at minimum wages for $ 150

Nvidia today officially introduced the budget GeForce GTX 1630 video card. Interestingly, as in the case of the new Intel Arc A380, sales started in China – there the GeForce GTX 1630 can be purchased for 1000-1100 yuan, which is approximately $ 150 (including VAT). Similar money is asked in China for the Radeon RX 6400 and, in fact, the same Intel Arc A380.
The GeForce GTX 1630 is as close as possible to its older sister: it has the same TDP level (75 W), the same cooling system, the same architecture and the same printed circuit board. The only difference is that the GeForce GTX 1630 has a narrower memory bus (64 bits vs. 128, so the memory bandwidth is significantly less – 96 GB / s vs. 192 GB / s) and fewer CUDA cores – 512 instead of 896. If we talk Regarding the marking of GPUs, the GeForce GTX 1630 uses TU117-150, and the GTX 1650 uses TU117-300. The GPU frequency of the novelty was 1785 MHz, the amount of GDDR6 memory is 4 GB.
It is expected that the GeForce GTX 1630 will be even slower than the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, released, for a moment, six years ago. Why Nvidia decided to release the GeForce GTX 1630 right now, when the cost of video cards has simply collapsed, is a big question. However, the wider the range, the better for users. There is no data yet on how much the GeForce GTX 1630 will cost in other regions.
One of the first companies to introduce the GeForce GTX 1630 was Inno3D. The company introduced the new product in two versions – overclocked Twin X2 OC with two fans and Compact – with one fan and standard frequencies.

Fraudsters have learned to force customers to change SIM card settings

VTB has uncovered a new method of telephone fraud, as a result of which a user can unwittingly provide access to his online bank to outsiders. Fraudsters call under the guise of employees of the support service of a mobile operator and inform the subscriber about the hacking of his personal account or phone. In order to prevent the user’s personal data from being exposed to the public as a result of the “hacking”, he is asked to dial a special USSD command on the phone, consisting of a combination of numbers, symbols and a phone number. As a result, the subscriber himself changes the settings so that calls and SMS are forwarded from his device to the number of scammers.
The scammers may then call again to report that the problem has been fixed, but in fact they receive codes from messages and can steal money from the user’s account by gaining access to their online banking. VTB experts recommend installing caller IDs on your smartphones that will allow you to distinguish a real call from a fraudulent one, or not to answer calls from unknown numbers. It is also important to be vigilant and, at the slightest doubt, end a conversation that seems suspicious. According to VTB, in May, the number of customer requests for calls from intruders increased by 70% compared to April this year, exceeding 640,000.
