Asus ceded leadership in motherboard market to Japan for the first time in 10 years
Asus is one of the market leaders in motherboards, video cards and laptops. Of course, user preferences may vary depending on the market.
For example, in the Japanese market, Asus has been the leader in the motherboard market for the past 10 years. But it was, because for the first time in a decade, it gave way to the leader of ASRock.
As you can see from the graph, the situation began to change dramatically at the end of last year, and in March ASRock surpassed Asus and is now widening the gap. Yes, it is still small, but against the background of Asus’s 10-year dominance, the situation looks very interesting.
The source does not talk about the reasons, but ASRock products are generally cheaper than Asus products, which could negatively affect sales of the latter in an era of shortages and rising prices for various components.

The 16-core Ryzen 7000 easily defeated the Core i9-12900K. AMD showed what the future flagship is capable of

So, AMD today really talked about the Ryzen 7000 processors and even showed them in action. For example, how some model in the game reaches a frequency of over 5.5 GHz.
But that’s not all. For example, now we are sure that AMD did not increase the number of cores this time, so the conditional Ryzen 9 7950X will be 16-core. And it was some 16-core CPU that beat the Core i9-12900K in Blender by an incredible 31%! True, AMD’s new products will eventually have to compete with Rocket Lake processors, and not the current Alder Lake, but this does not make the advantage any less impressive.
AMD also confirmed that the new generation of processors will be released in the fall. Exactly when is unclear, but there have been many rumors of a September release.
