ASRock launches its Intel Arc A380 graphics card for $192
ASRock has officially launched its first Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX graphics card. It is sold in China for 1299 yuan ($192). This card seems to be inferior to the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon in terms of dimensions and is made in a compact form factor.
The novelty is equipped with a single fan and supports its shutdown at low load on the graphics card. The device has an 8-pin power connector, the graphics chip operates at a base frequency of 2250 MHz, and the memory provides a bandwidth of 15.5 Gb / s per pin. There is a 96-bit bus, which gives a total throughput of 186 GB / s. The amount of GDDR6 memory is 6 GB.
The graphics chip is equipped with 8 Xe cores, which is equivalent to 1024 ALUs. For power, a power supply of about 500 watts is required. For data output, there is one HDMI 2.0b port and three DisplayPort 2.0 ports with DSC. The dimensions of the card are 190 x 124 x 39 mm.
It is not yet clear when such a card will appear in other countries, but it will most likely be available only in China in the coming months.
Earlier, a water block was released for the Intel Arc A380 video card.

Samsung is preparing an “ultimate” SSD. The company teases with a promotional video with a new drive

Samsung has started teasing Twitter users with an advertisement for a new SSD. The company does not specify the details, calling the new Ultimate SSD.
Third-party sources expect this to be a new SSD (or a whole series) with a PCIe 5.0 interface. These may well be models of the Samsung 990 SSD line, which were previously lit up in the databases of regulators.
Samsung previously released the PM1743 PCIe 5.0 SSD for the data center, and it offers data transfer speeds of up to 14GB/s, so you can expect similar numbers from the 990 Pro.

Some motherboards will turn the Core i9-13900K into a power consumption monster. The power limit will increase to 350W

Intel can make the Core i9-13900K even more attractive with a new auto-overclocking mode.
The source reports that some motherboards based on 700-series chipsets will allow you to activate an increased power limit. In this case, we are talking about a value of 350 watts. For comparison, Alder Lake has a maximum of 241 watts.
The values of PL1 and PL2 for the new CPUs will hardly change and will amount to 125 and 253 W, respectively. But there will also be an opportunity to remove the limit, thanks to which the Core i9-13900K will be able to consume up to 350 watts. In this case, of course, the motherboard will need a powerful power supply subsystem, and the processor will need a productive CO.
CPU performance in this mode can increase by 15%, although this will depend on the tasks. Whether the Core i9-13900KS, which was previously assigned a frequency of up to 6 GHz, will be released under such conditions is now unclear.

This is Ryzen 7 7700X. Pre-sale copy first lit up in the photo

The first photo of the Ryzen 7 7700X processor has appeared on the Web, which should be presented on August 29, and it is expected to go on sale on September 27.
Apparently, the picture shows a pre-sale version. Perhaps this is one of the copies for media reviews.
The Ryzen 7 7700X is an octa-core SMT capable CPU up to 5.4GHz with a TDP of 105W. According to leaks, such a processor will cost about $ 300, that is, it will not rise in price relative to its predecessor at the start of sales.
Recall, in addition to this model, a 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X, a 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X and a six-core Ryzen 5 7600X are also expected. Later the line may well expand.
