According to Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 will be able to tell the wearer about elevated body temperature, thanks to a new built-in sensor.
In the latest issue of Power On, Gurman says that the Apple Watch Series 8 will feature a new body temperature sensor that has already successfully passed Apple’s internal testing.
Gurman notes that, in his opinion, the sensor is suitable for both the standard version of the Apple Watch Series 8, and for the new “protected model” designed for athletes. Unlike a traditional dedicated thermometer, the Apple Watch won’t directly show users their current body temperature, but instead will directly alert users if they think they’re having a fever.
You can expect some new health tracking features in this year’s Apple Watch. In April, I reported that Apple is looking to add body temperature detection to its Series 8 model, assuming that this capability will be validated during internal testing. This feature may appear both in the standard Apple Watch Series 8, and in the new protected version designed for extreme athletes.
The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to retain the same design as the Apple Watch Series 7, as well as the same platform as the Series 6 and 7.

The American company Fitbit, now owned by Google, is preparing to release a new line of wearable devices. The network has high-quality images of three models at once – Fitbit Sense 2, Inspire 3 and Versa 4.
They were published by a well-known network whistleblower Steve Hemmerstoffer (Steve Hemmerstoffer) under the nickname Onleaks, together with the thematic resource 91mobiles.
The Fitbit Sense 2 and Fitbit Versa 4 have a similar design, and the Fitbit Inspire 3 will be the most affordable of the three wearables. Fitbit Sense 2 is shown in three color options. Its price may be higher than the original Fitbit Sense.
The Versa 4 will be available in two color options and will be priced slightly lower than the Fitbit Sense 2. The Fitbit Inspire 3 wristband will be available in three colors: black, pink and yellow.
