While Apple has yet to confirm a launch date for the upcoming iPhone 12 series models, several sources have already reported that the company will hold a press conference on October 13 and begin accepting pre-orders that same week.
Reputable network whistleblower Jon Prosser, who has proven himself well in past Apple-related leaks, says the first batch of iPhone 12 smartphones will be shipped to distributors on October 5th. He also mentioned that the starter kit will only include two models, the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12.
He also announced that both smartphones will be available in three variants (64, 128 or 256 GB of flash memory). The iPhone 12 Mini has a 5.4-inch display, while the iPhone 12 has a 6.1-inch screen.
This is in line with previous leaks, which indicated that in the early days, Apple would only sell one or two models, with the rest of the models only available for purchase in November.
As for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models, the minimum amount of flash memory for them will be 128 GB.
John Prosser was the first to announce the exact dates of the presentation of the new iPhone SE 2020 smartphone and the MacBook Pro 13 laptop.
