Apple to release AirPods 3 and mini LED iPad in the first half of 2021

Ming Chi-Kuo, Apple Product Analyst, predicts Apple’s revenue will grow to 100% year on year in 2021 due to changes in iPhone 13 battery components.

The report says Taiwan Career Technology will return to the scene as a key supplier of Apple’s entire product line in 2021, including the iPhone 13 in the second half of 2021, new AirPods expected in the first half of next year, and new models. mini LED iPad (where the new display technology will debut) will arrive at the same time.

The iPhone 12 batteries currently use a combination of soft and hard boards, while the iPhone 13 is said to only use soft board technology. Soft-board batteries contain fewer layers than their hard-coated counterparts. This new battery saves valuable iPhone space and costs less.

This year’s iPhones have slightly less battery than last year’s iPhone 11 line. Considering the additional power draw from 5G modems across the line and the large-screen iPhone 12 Pro, the new iPhones do not have as good battery life. Apple is looking for ways to extend battery life and make iPhone thinner.

Taiwan Career Technology is expected to receive 40% to 50% of battery orders for iPhone 13 and 13 mini next year. Two other suppliers, Unimicron and Unitech, are also expected to supply batteries for the iPhone.

According to the report, the new AirPods 3 are expected to receive a design similar to the AirPods Pro, while Taiwan Career Technology is expected to fulfill orders for soft boards and AirPods and charging cases. The same supplier will also provide soft panels for acoustic and optical components for the mini LED iPads. Again, both the new iPads and AirPods 3 are expected sometime in the first half of next year.
