Apple is being sued again. This time we are talking about a class action lawsuit because of the “jelly screen” in the current iPad mini.

Recall that this problem was discovered almost immediately, and it is explained by the alleged hardware location of certain components. In addition, Apple has stated that this is normal display behavior.

The class action lawsuit was filed by Colorado resident Christopher Bryan. He accuses Apple of fraudulent marketing, although, interestingly, he knew about the problem before buying the tablet. Whether he originally planned to file a lawsuit is unclear.

The complaint states that Apple is aware of the defect but continues to sell the iPad mini without fixing the defect or amending its marketing materials to reflect the defect.

Well-known Bloomberg journalist and insider Mark Gurman confirmed the recently appeared information that in the iPhone 16 line, each model will have its own screen size.

It will not be an iPhone 16 Pro Max, but almost a tablet. A well-known insider confirmed the increase in screen sizes in the new iPhone

More specifically, the iPhone 16 Pro should get a 6.3-inch display instead of the usual 6.1 inches, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max display will grow from 6.7 to 6.9 inches. On the one hand, this will make the older model stand out on the market with its impressive dimensions, on the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro will become more attractive for those for whom 6.1 inches was not enough, and 6.7 inches in Pro Max was already a lot.

Considering that the well-known insider Ming-Chi Kuo also spoke about the increase in older iPhones, there are no particular doubts about such changes in the iPhone. On the other hand, there is still more than a year before the release of this line, which cannot be discounted.

According to these data, the novelty will receive a less productive Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC than its predecessor, which was built on the MediaTek Helio G99. Helio G99 usually performs about 35% better than Snapdragon 680 in AnTuTu tests. Most likely, the replacement of the processor will affect the cost of the tablet: it will be lower. But it is not known whether users will agree to such a compromise.

According to the source, Redmi Pad 2 also features a 10.95-inch 1200 x 1920 pixel screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The novelty will be running Android 13 in combination with the MIUI 14 interface. Other details about the device, including possible release dates and prices, are not yet available. Earlier, insider Kasper Skrzypek revealed exact information about Redmi K60, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, Redmi 10 Prime and Redmi Pad.
