Apple scheduled a presentation for June 5, 2023: we are waiting for an augmented reality headset and iOS 17
Apple has officially confirmed that its 34th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2023) will be held from Monday, June 5th to Friday, June 9th. The event will be free for all developers.
Apple will host various online sessions that will allow developers to learn about new features and software introduced at WWDC. There will also be a traditional Swift Student Challenge, for which Apple will accept applications until April 19th.
While WWDC 2023 will once again be held online, Apple is planning a special event for select developers and students that will last all day. It will take place on June 5 at the Apple Park campus. Attendees will be able to watch keynotes and videos, meet some Apple employees, and take part in the Apple Design Awards. Apple held a similar event last year.
The company is expected to introduce iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14 on June 5, as well as possibly new hardware devices. It is rumored that this year’s event could be dedicated to an augmented reality headset that was recently introduced to employees. New Mac Pros and 15-inch MacBook Airs are also expected.

You can not rush: Firefox will be relevant on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 for more than a year

There is fresh data on how long the Mozilla Firefox browser will support Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 operating systems. According to the company, the support period will end in the third quarter of 2024, which means that updates will come for more than a year. To be more precise, the support will end only in September next year.
This is especially important against the background of Google’s policy, according to which support for legacy operating systems ended with Chromium/Chrome 110.
It is noted that until the fall of 2024, Firefox version 115 ESR will be supported, which will be released on July 4, that is, exactly one month later. It is on it that all users of outdated OS will be automatically transferred. The assembly will receive security updates, but you should not expect new features in it.
At the moment, the share of Windows 7 is less than 4%, and the total share of PCs running 7, 8 and 8.1 is slightly more than 5%. Recall that Firefox will have its own chat bot.

The next brainchild of Microsoft will go to rest. The company will stop supporting the Cortana app on Windows at the end of the year.

Microsoft is about to completely stop supporting the Cortana voice assistant. Already from the end of this year, support for this application will cease, although the company has not yet announced the exact date.
In general, this was more than expected, since the assistant introduced in 2015 did not gain popularity from the very beginning, and even Microsoft itself quickly stopped somehow promoting it. Now the company has unveiled the Windows Copilot tool, which will offer much the same as Cortana, only bigger and better.
Actually, in Windows 11, initially Cortana did not have any significant place and did not appear when the OS was first loaded.
However, Microsoft notes that the changes will only affect Cortana on Windows, while the assistant will still be available in Outlook Mobile, Teams Mobile, Microsoft Teams display and Microsoft Teams room.

The current Android 13 is only on the fourth line with a share of 14.7%. You can also highlight Android 9, which holds 11.9% of the market. All other versions have less than 10%.
