Apple Reportedly Uses iPad Parts for iPhone 12 Pro

According to the latest information, the tech giant has purchased iPad parts that will be used in the iPhone 12 Pro to help keep the devices from running low.

Nikkei Asian Review reports that Apple is forced to purchase iPad components, including power management ICs and liDAR camera assemblies, in order not to slow down production of the iPhone 12 Pro. Unfortunately, the move would mean that production of roughly two million iPads would suffer. Again, with the iPhone generating the most revenue for the company, Apple will have no choice but to compromise.

In addition, Apple has instructed suppliers to have more than 20 million iPhone 11, iPhone SE, and iPhone XR 2020 units ready in time for the holiday shopping season as well as 2021. This is because soon after the announcement of the iPhone 12, Apple cut prices for the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR, making them more attractive to buyers. Overall, Apple reportedly plans to ship up to 80 million units of the new iPhone 12 models.
