Apple releases new HomePod update

Published

on

Almost two years after Apple announced its intention to launch its own line of smart speakers and did so in the person of Apple HomePod, many users and fans of the company are already desperate to see something new and interesting in this segment – however, today the Apple executives said, which intends to soon release a new version of the software for its current, as well as for the upcoming HomePod Mini, which will have to compete directly with devices such as the Google Nest Mini and Amazon Echo Dot. We are talking about a new version of HomePod software 14.1, which has the same numbering as iOS 14.1.

In addition, the new device will cost only about $ 100, which is a rather uncharacteristic and at the same time pleasant moment on the part of Apple, which clearly intends to offer its fans no worse functionality in comparison with similar models from Amazon and Google. As for the newest version of the software, it, first of all, adds improved functionality to the work of the voice assistant Siri and does it at a really high level – soon the voice assistant on both HomePod and HomePod Mini will be able to automatically stop timers and other notifications , as well as a more flexible and efficient way to work with the user’s schedules, if he pre-configures these algorithms.

In general, both the voice assistant Siri and the new smart speaker HomePod Mini will get something really unique and unusual in this regard – you just have to wait for the preliminary release of the patch list with new functions.

You can also be sure that Apple strives to ensure that its fans absolutely do not need anything other than the most basic functionality of the HomePo Mini smart speaker – and for this it is necessary to make it as versatile and correct as possible. However, the exact release date for the new mini-version of Apple’s smart speaker has not yet been announced, although some insider teams close to Apple’s source are already reporting that it is most likely a period until mid-2021.
