Apple no longer Think Different. The company was deprived of the right to the legendary slogan
Apple has lost the right to its legendary slogan Think Different from the times of Steve Jobs – the European Court has taken away the rights to its exclusive use from the American company.
The case, in which the copyright dispute for the slogan was resolved, began in 2016. The trial was initiated by the Swiss watch brand Swatch. The European company uses a similar slogan – Tick Different (Tick differently) – and, in order to avoid confusion, demanded that the court deprive Apple of the right to a similar expression. The plaintiff’s main argument was that Apple had not used the slogan under discussion in its marketing campaign in the EU for more than 10 years.
Although Apple repeatedly tried to challenge this argument, the court still sided with Swatch. The judges motivated their decision by the fact that in recent years the American company has used the phrase Think Different only when publishing informational, not promotional materials dedicated to the memory of key employees.
The slogan Think Different was coined and used by Apple in the 90s, when one of its founders, Steve Jobs, returned to the leadership of the company.

Mercedes-Benz will stop producing A-Class and B-Class models

German publication Handelsblatt reports that Mercedes will cease production of A-Class and B-Class vehicles after the end of production of the current generation in 2025. The news comes weeks after Mercedes announced it was cutting its entry-level lineup from seven body styles to four in a bid to push its way into a higher market.
The source writes that members of the board of directors of Mercedes have already decided to abandon the successor to the A-class. The more practical and less popular sister B-class minivan will also go down in history. However, the current generation of the A-Class and B-Class are getting mid-life updates this year that will extend their life cycles into 2025.
That being said, Mercedes officials have reportedly given the green light to successors to other compact models. These include the CLA, likely in both four-door coupe and five-door Shooting Brake body styles, as well as the GLA/EQA and GLB/EQB SUVs.
It was decided to reduce the line of compact cars and rename it to Entry Luxury. It will be based on the new MMA architecture, bringing better equipment and more technology to the compact segment. The platform is designed primarily for electric vehicles, but also supports hybrid powertrains. One of the features of the new cars on the MMA platform will be the proprietary infotainment system MB.OS. It will debut in 2024 at the same time as the first production model based on MMA.
