Currently, the vast majority of the ‌iPad‌ supply chain is in China. Apple is reportedly interested in moving at least some of the iPad production to Vietnam from January 2021, but issues to last year have delayed the move. Now Apple has to speed up the transfer of part of the production from China.

With the creation of new production lines for the iPad in Vietnam, Apple helped the Chinese company BYD. Soon, these lines will start producing a small number of Apple tablets.

The ‌iPad‌ will be the second Apple product to be manufactured in Vietnam after AirPods.
