Apple iPhone 12 mini turned out to be one of the hits of 2020: it was not much inferior to the iPhone 12 Pro Max
Data from research firm Omdia indicates the iPhone 11 was the best-selling smartphone in 2020. In total, 64.8 million of these smartphones were sold last year, while it took first place by a huge margin.
Next comes the 2020 iPhone SE with 24.2 million smartphones. The new iPhone 12, which only came out in October, came in third. The smartphone sold 23.3 million units. The iPhone 12 Pro Max, which was released in November, came in at seventh place with 16.8 million smartphones. Despite the high price, this model is very popular.
The iPhone 12 mini has been dubbed as an unsuccessful model, sources say Apple will stop production in the second quarter of 2021, but Omdia data indicate that 14.5 million people bought a 5.4-inch smartphone in a short time, putting the model in the top 10. the results of 2020.
The most popular Samsung smartphone last year was the Galaxy A51, with sales of 23.2 million units. It is followed by the Samsung Galaxy A21s with 19.4 million smartphones. The sixth place was taken by the Galaxy A01, with sales of 16.9 million phones.
Only one Xiaomi smartphone, the Redmi Note 9 Pro, was in the top ten, with sales of 15 million units.
