The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max finally got the Always-on-Display feature, which works a little differently than other devices on the market. At the same time, as it turned out, another interesting and unique feature is associated with this function.

It turned out that smartphones will turn off the Always-on-Display feature if they detect that the Apple Watch paired with them has moved away a certain distance. And although the exact distance for the function to operate is still unknown, in fact, this means that when the user leaves the room where he left the smartphone, Always-on-Display will automatically stop working, which will improve autonomy.

Apple itself hasn’t said anything about this, and it’s not yet clear if the feature will be available out of the box.

More specifically, the US Department of Defense will be the first Intel customer to receive the relevant semiconductor solutions. Intel already has a contract worth $250 million, and it does not concern the purchase, but for now only the design and development of next-generation chips. The contract for the purchase of such products will bring Intel much more money.

Process 18A is already being actively developed by Intel. The company claims that it will launch related products in 2024, but this, as we understand it, will not affect consumer solutions. When Core processors on such a technical process will appear on the market is still unknown.

The 18A process itself is difficult to correlate with others, which are described in a more familiar form with nanometers. The name of the process technology indicates 18 angstroms, that is, it is 1.8 nm. Given that the Intel 7 process is actually 10nm and the Intel 4 is actually 7nm, it’s likely that 18A can be loosely called 3nm. On the other hand, for quite some time now, the number of nanometers in the name of the process technology says little, and each company considers it differently.

Acer decided to enter the video card market and not with Nvidia or AMD products. Acer has unveiled its first 3D card today and it’s the Arc A770 Predator BiFrost.

Whether Acer will release only Intel cards is still unknown. In this case, we can see a non-reference design, two eight-pin power connectors at once (the reference card has 6 + 8 connectors) and a very unusual cooling system with two fans, which are very different both in size and design. The smaller one is completely similar to the centrifugal one, but it is impossible to say for sure from one image.

There is also no data on the Acer card yet. Recall, Arc A770 has 8 or 16 GB of memory and 4096 FP32 blocks. The card is priced at $330 or $350, depending on the version. Intel also introduced the more affordable Arc A750, priced at $290.

Of course, the dimensions of the module do not at all mean that the new Tecno will also have a large inch image sensor. Given what the company produces, this is unlikely.

As for other parameters, the FCC base says a 5040 mAh battery with 45-watt charging and Bluetooth 5.3.
