Apple has released an iPhone update with a huge list of innovations
Apple has released the second major update to the iOS 16 mobile platform, which debuted in September.
The iOS 16.2 update brings an impressive list of new features, changes, fixes and more. It came out more than a month after the launch of iOS 16.1, an update that added support for Live Activity, iCloud Photo Sharing, and more.
The iOS 16.2 update can be downloaded wirelessly to compatible iPhones and iPads by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
In iOS 16.2, the Freeform application became available – a kind of whiteboard for collaborating with notes, drawings, tables, and more. Another major innovation is the Apple Music Sing service, which adds a karaoke mode. Enhanced iCloud data protection with end-to-end encryption is now available across more categories, up to 23, including iCloud backups, notes, and photos.
Sleep and Medication widgets have been added to the lock screen, as well as new settings that hide wallpapers or notifications when Always-On-Display is active (always on display) in iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Game Center adds SharePlay support for multiplayer games. And this list can go on for quite some time.
Among other things, great attention was paid to security and more than 30 vulnerabilities were fixed.

Three-stage mechanical switch will be in all OnePlus Ace smartphones

Li Jie, president of OnePlus China, has officially confirmed that all OnePlus Ace series products will have a three-stage mechanical switch in the future.
According to a company leaker, OnePlus has “done the most extreme polish” while working on this item. The switch turned out to be visually beautiful, as well as very pleasant in terms of tactile sensations.
Unlike the usual physical mute button implemented by the iPhone, the three-stage switch is more functional: in the upper position it turns off sound and vibration, in the central part it leaves vibration, and in the lower position it turns on all sounds and vibrations.
OnePlus today announced that the OnePlus Ace 2 will be unveiled on February 7th. The company is positioning it as “the new benchmark in mobile phone performance.”
The three-step switch has been removed from the OnePlus Ace, but it was announced today that it will return to the OnePlus Ace 2.

30% of divorces in China are due to addiction to smartphones. Changjiang Daily study results

With the development of technology, mobile phones have become an integral part of people’s daily lives, which has a negative impact on the relationship between husband and wife.
According to a poll by Changjiang Daily, 30% of divorces in China are caused by the addiction of one of the parties to mobile phones. Due to the fact that one of the family members is addicted to mobile phones, communication between husband and wife is reduced, which leads to the separation of the spouses. Moreover, dependence on mobile phones at home also worsens the family atmosphere and affects the upbringing of children.
Also mentioned is the dependence on mobile games: it happens that in marriage one of the spouses spends a lot of money in mobile applications without informing their spouse about it.
Some users have stated that if mobile phones are removed, other addictions, such as television, may well appear.

First use of iPhone 14 Call for Help via satellite in British Columbia

The iPhone 14’s communications satellite feature has recently been reported to have helped rescue two women who were stranded in a blackout near a small village called McBride in British Columbia, Canada.
The women got into a car accident, after which they drove about 20 km, but the car finally broke down. One of the women had an iPhone 14, with which they signaled to the emergency services, transferring their coordinates.
The Apple call center transmitted the data to the 911 service, the rescuers who arrived got the car out of the snow and saved the women. Dwight Yohim, senior manager of the Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada, said this is the first use of the new feature in British Columbia.
“There was no cell service, but one of them had a new Apple phone with SOS. As far as I know, the SOS function is being used for the first time in British Columbia,” he said.
Earlier, Dwight Yohim reported that the crash detection feature in the new iPhone 14 often does not work correctly.
