Apple exploited a bug in iOS to get recordings of user votes? The bug was fixed in iOS 15.2, but not for everyone

Apple, which constantly focuses on its concern for the security of user data, got into another small scandal about this.

Apple exploited a bug in iOS to get recordings of user votes? The bug was fixed in iOS 15.2, but not for everyone

As it turns out, iOS 15 mistakenly enabled a feature for some users that aims to improve the way Siri works. The point is that when this feature is activated, voice interaction with Siri is recorded and sent to Apple. That is, Apple is going to all the voice commands of users. Of course, not everyone wants to share such data with the company.

Thus, after updating to iOS 15, some users, without knowing it, became participants in the corresponding program. The company found this issue and fixed it in iOS 15.2. But there is a nuance here.

In iOS 15.2, we disabled the Improve Siri & Dictation option for many Siri users, while at the same time fixing a bug introduced in iOS 15. This bug unintentionally enabled the setting for a small subset of devices. After identifying the bug, we stopped checking and remove the sound received from all affected devices

As you can see, Apple says it has disabled a stipulated feature for many users. But somehow not for everyone. That is, in theory, some users, without knowing it, continue to share the specified data with Apple, and the company knows about it, but does nothing.

Be that as it may, in iOS 15.4 after the update, the system already asks whether to activate the corresponding function.

Apple Music Classical app is now available for Android, but not yet available for iPad and Mac

Recall that the Apple Music Classical app debuted in March. It’s a standalone app that doesn’t depend on regular Apple Music, and it didn’t exist on Android until today. You need an Apple Music subscription to use the service.

Interestingly, Apple Music Classical is still not available on Mac, and there is no optimized version for iPad. In addition, the service cannot be used through CarPlay.

Recall that Apple Music‌ Classical provides access to more than five million songs and hundreds of playlists. At the same time, unlike the usual Apple Music application, it is possible to search by composer, work, conductor, catalog number, and so on.

Users of the Windows 11 operating system are faced with a new unexpected problem. The OS can automatically install and update drivers. This is usually useful and good. However, now the system has started replacing newer drivers with outdated versions. And this leads to other problems – with certain software.

This has never happened before, and here it is again: Windows 11 update replaces AMD GPU drivers with older versions

According to user complaints online, Windows Update mistakenly replaces AMD drivers in Windows 11 with outdated versions.

This causes users to encounter an AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition error message that says “Windows Update may have automatically replaced your AMD Graphics driver. Therefore, the AMD software version you are running is not compatible with the installed AMD Graphics driver.”

This is not about the next beta version, but about the final one. For some (older) models, it will be based on Android 12, and for newer models, it will be based on Android 13. As noted, Xiaomi delayed the release of MIUI 14 for all these models because there were many bugs in previous versions. Now, one should think, all errors and shortcomings have been eliminated, and everything is ready for release.
