Apple Devices Coming to Support Xbox Series X Controller

Published

on

The iPhones and iPads do not currently support the new PS5 and Xbox controllers, although older generations of controllers work fine. It became known that the developers Apple and Microsoft are already working on the implementation of support for new controllers. We can expect this feature to appear in the next software updates.

Using a game controller can come in handy in a variety of situations. It can be used to navigate Apple TV, games from Apple Arcade, App Store and more.

Support for the Xbox Series X controller will be rolled out to the following product lines:

  • iPhone;
  • iPad;
  • iPod touch;
  • Apple TV;
  • Mac.

In addition, the Macrumors portal found in the codes of the beta versions of iOS and iPadOS 14.3 mentions of DualSense support for Sony PlayStation 5 and Amazon Luna Controller. Obviously, it won’t take long to bring compatibility to Apple devices.
