Apple buys young British company AI Music
Apple has acquired London-based startup AI Music, which uses artificial intelligence to create personalized music. Said technology can be used in all audio offerings.
Founded in 2016, AI Music has 17 employees.
The technology developed by AI Music can create soundtracks using free music and artificial intelligence. The idea is to create dynamic audio tracks that change based on user interaction. For example, a song in a video game can change depending on the mood, while music during a workout can adapt to the intensity of the workout.
In the past, AI Music has made deals with advertising companies to create more compelling ads that sound different in music depending on the audience.

The power of a modular laptop. Framework provides kits that allow you to upgrade to the latest Intel CPUs

Modular laptops on the market are a rarity. The Framework model is just one of those. And now it can be upgraded to the latest Intel CPUs.
Earlier this year, the company released an updated Alder Lake laptop, but now the manufacturer has said that owners of the older model will soon be able to buy a kit that will allow them to replace old components with new ones.
The old model was equipped with a previous generation Intel platform, which means that the motherboard also needs to be changed. Kits will cost a minimum of $450 for a Core i5-1240P board. For a fee with a Core i7-1280P, you will have to pay $ 1,050. You can also purchase a set of motherboard with CPU and a new aluminum cover. You will need to pay an extra $90 for the cover.
The kits are already on the site, but for now you can only pre-order.

Anticrypt. True values: Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut sold at auction in Germany for 135 million euros

We continue the “Friday format” of news. Recall that last time we talked about a businessman from Zimbabwe who created a pension fund “with impairment protection.” Pensions will be paid in cows.
Today we will tell you that at the Sotheby’s auction, which took place in early May at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, the most expensive car in the world went under the hammer. It was a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut – the rarest coupe sold for 135 million euros.
The car is one of the prototypes created by the Mercedes-Benz racing department led by Rudolf Uhlenhout in 1955. The ability to accelerate to almost 290 km / h made it one of the fastest cars of that time.
The auctions were held behind closed doors, so only a narrow circle of authorized persons, including collectors, could participate in them, one of which eventually became the owner of a rare coupe.
The all-time auction record has so far been a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sports car sold four years ago for $48.4 million.

Qualcomm unveils new superflam platform Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1

Qualcomm today introduced an improved version of its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has already become the mainstay of many flagship smartphones in 2022. According to Qualcomm, the Plus edition delivers 10% faster processor core performance, 10% higher graphics clock speeds, and best of all, consumes 15% less power for nearly 1 hour of extra gaming on a single charge or 50 minutes of social media browsing.
According to Qualcomm, the company has achieved a 30% increase in CPU and GPU energy efficiency. In addition, Qualcomm specifically highlights the more stable performance of the new SoC – in theory, the platform maintains a high clock speed for longer, despite heat during games or when connected to 5G networks. Of course, it also depends on how phone manufacturers implement the cooling system.
The CPU of the new SoC contains a 3.2GHz Cortex-X2 core, three 2.8GHz Cortex-A710s, and four 2.0GHz power-efficient Cortex-A510s. Graphics – Adreno 730. As you can see in the slides, other SoC features remain unchanged, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 10Gb / s 5G and 8K HDR video.
Qualcomm is not going to stop the production of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, both platforms will be produced in parallel.
The first smartphones based on Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 are planned to be released by companies such as Asus, Black Shark, Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, OSOM, Realme, RedMagic, Redmi, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE.
