Apple, and this is all the growth? Early tests show that the iPhone 15 Pro based on the A17 Pro SoC is only slightly faster than the iPhone 14 Pro based on the A16 Bionic
The iPhone 15 Pro showed up in the benchmark, thanks to which we can compare its performance with its predecessor.
The latest three-nanometer SoC A17 Pro with 19 billion transistors in Geekbench 6 scores 2914 and 7199 in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively.
For comparison, the A16 Bionic scores around 2645 and 7075 points. That is, the increase in multi-threaded mode is almost absent, and in single-threaded mode it is 10%, as Apple itself says.
Let us remember that in this case we are talking only about the processor part, and here we see that there is not much difference between the A16 Bionic and A17 Pro. At the same time, we recall that the A17 Pro became the first consumer SoC using the 3 nm process technology, and it is somewhat strange to see that Apple did not take advantage of this. However, let us remind you that the company itself placed the main emphasis on the GPU, but there are no tests for it yet.

The culprit behind overheating of the new iPhone 15 is saving on the cooling system. But the new items are lighter than their predecessors

iPhone 15 smartphones, among other things, sometimes seem to suffer from excessive heating. This is especially true for the Pro versions equipped with the most advanced three-nanometer A17 Pro platform. However, the problem does not seem to be with the platform. At the very least, insider and TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo blames another aspect.
According to him, the issue is in the cooling system of smartphones in general. The overheating is likely caused by “thermal design compromises” that allowed Apple to reduce the weight of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models. Kuo says the reduced heat dissipation area and titanium body negatively impacted heat dissipation efficiency.
Indeed, if you look at the disassembled new products, there is no dedicated cooling system with an evaporation chamber or heat pipes. However, like previous generations of iPhone.

This is what the new Xiaomi smartphone looks like for $100. Redmi 13C images

High-quality images of the new budget Xiaomi smartphone – Redmi 13C – have appeared on the Internet. As the name suggests, this model will replace the Redmi 12C, the basic version of which costs only $95 in China.
There is no data on the characteristics of the new product. We can only say that the resolution of the main sensor of the main camera will be 50 megapixels. There will also be a standard jack for connecting wired headphones. The new product will be offered in three colors: green, black and blue.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi 13C will not be much better than the Redmi 12C. Let’s remember that the current model is built on SoC MediaTek Helio G85, equipped with a 50-megapixel camera, a 6.71-inch screen and a 5000 mAh battery with support for 10 W charging.

Huawei’s capacity is limited. Huawei Mate 60 smartphones will not be released even on the Taiwanese market

The Huawei Mate 60 series of smartphones caused a stir after the announcement; smartphones are actively selling out. However, Huawei officials have confirmed that the Mate 60 series will not be released in overseas markets.
When asked if the Mate 60 series has a chance to appear at least in the Taiwanese market, Yun Hai, general manager of Huawei Xunwei Technology in Taiwan, said: “Currently, the production capacity of this series of mobile phones is still limited, so they will be available only in mainland China.”
Yong Hai noted that Huawei was originally expected to release 5 to 6 million Mate 60 series smartphones, but now Huawei’s plans are “increasing more and more.” He added that Huawei mobile phones have not been sold in the Taiwanese market for 3 years. Sales channels, stores, service centers require reinvestment, so Taiwan will not be a priority market for the Mate 60 series at this time.
Yesterday, Huawei introduced the top model of this line, which was called Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design. IT Home was the first to publish unboxing photos.
Earlier it became known that Huawei managed to use memory chips produced by Samsung, Kioxia and even Micron, as well as SK hynix, despite US sanctions. Samsung Electronics said it has not traded with Huawei since the sanctions were imposed.
