Apple has released an update to its flagship wireless headphones that adds search functionality to AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Compatible AirPods get new functionality within the Find My app, including precise location, a new nearby search UI, Lost Mode, and the ability to receive notifications.
To take advantage of these new features, you first need to update your AirPods to the new firmware. The new feature means AirPods Pro and AirPods Max participate in the Find My network and send continuous messages over Bluetooth. When other Apple devices are nearby, they can detect this signal and report it to the Find My network by showing the location on the owner’s map. This is similar to how long distance AirTags work.
By being within close range of AirPods, users can now get a visual indicator of their location. Unfortunately, you don’t see the directional arrows because the AirPods don’t have the U1 chip.
In Lost Mode, iPhone users who have lost their AirPods will now be able to leave a message and a contact phone number. If the AirPods are found by someone else and are paired with the iOS device, a lost message will be displayed, allowing you to return the accessory to the owner.
The new features are only compatible with AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Standard AirPods do not support these features, but the upcoming third-generation AirPods are believed to support it.
Huawei has sold over 80 million smartwatches, bracelets and headphones worldwide
Huawei today shared its new achievement at the ongoing Huawei Developer Conference 2021 (Together). The total shipments of Huawei smart wearables exceeded 80 million units, according to one of the top managers of the consumer division of Huawei Consumer.
More specifically, as of September 2021, Huawei has sold over 80 million smartwatches, fitness bracelets and audio accessories worldwide.
It is also noted that Huawei devices are already used by more than 320 million users around the world. In addition, the Huawei Health app for sports and health is used by 83 million people every month.
At the same time, the proprietary operating system HarmonyOS is already installed on 157 million devices.
AirPods Pro 2 showed on renders. The headphones will remain virtually unchanged, but the charging case will receive built-in speakers.
A source specializing in leaks about various Apple devices has published renders of possible Air Pods Pro 2 headphones. The person who merged the pictures said that they were obtained from “a source within Apple”, but without any specifics on this score. But if AirPods Pro 2 really will be as shown in the images, then we will have the usual shape of the headphones themselves and a modernized case.
There are various rumors regarding the design of AirPods Pro 2: some sources say that there will be no legs, others believe that it will still remain. The leg is present on these renders. And if you consider what the AirPods 3 turned out to be like, it is likely that the current form of Pro headphones will still remain. But one optical sensor has disappeared, but this is not surprising, since in AirPods 3 Apple switched to sensors that detect skin contact. And the same can happen with AirPods Pro 2.
More innovations in the charging case: on the underside of it there are loudspeaker slots. According to an insider, in iOS 16, the Find My function can be applied both to the headphones themselves and to the case. And this is exactly what loudspeakers are for: if the user cannot remember where he put the case, it will be possible to use Find My – and the charging box will start emitting sounds by which it will be possible to determine its location.
Interestingly, on the side edge of the case, there is a metal fastener for the lanyard, which is not in any case of any Apple wireless headphones. And at the moment there are big doubts that it will appear in the production model. There is no specifics regarding the release dates for AirPods 2 Pro, but it is logical to expect a new product as early as next year.
Huawei Unveils Active Noise Canceling Fashion Headphones – FreeBuds Lipstick styled like lipstick

The name of the model is quite consistent with reality – the headphones themselves are made in bright red, and the charging case is stylized as a tube of lipstick, and made of stainless steel.
