The other day we heard that Huawei could solve the lack of 5G in its modern smartphones through cases. And today we have the first photo of such a cover, and at the same time some details.

“Anti-sanction” case for Huawei flagships. P50 Pro pictured next to 5G case

The case, as we can see, lies next to the Huawei P50 Pro. It is for this line that it will be released, which is logical, given that these are flagships. It is possible that Mate models will also receive similar covers.

How the case will work is not specified, but it will probably just contain a 5G modem. Moreover, we have already seen something similar in the case of the 5G module for Motorola Moto Z.

In addition, you can see that the smartphone will receive the physical sound mode switch familiar to OnePlus devices.

It also turned out that OnePlus Open will be a complete copy of Oppo Find N3. Or the second one will be a copy of the first one. The bottom line is that OnePlus is now owned by Oppo, and as Lau revealed, the two teams have come together to create one better foldable smartphone. So it will be the same model, but under different names for different markets.

This foldable phone is jointly developed by the Oppo team and the OnePlus team because we want to create synergy and bring together the best of the two teams. Bundled cable from iPhone 15 Pro vs. $70 Thunderbolt cable and $15 USB 3 cable. Tests show what’s worth paying for

Bundled cable from iPhone 15 Pro vs 70 Thunderbolt cable

As you know, the new iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max received a USB-C port with support for the USB 3.0 standard. However, the included cable only supports USB 2.0, and so far the only Apple-branded cable with normal speed is a Thunderbolt 4 cable for $70. Phone Arena decided to compare the latter with the included cable, the $15 USB 3 cable from Amazon, and the cable that comes with an external SSD.

In this case, a Samsung SSD was used for testing, but this does not really matter.

So, the first test was to copy a two-minute 4K ProRes video from the phone to the SSD, which weighs 9.86 GB. With the included iPhone cable, the process took 4 minutes and 5 seconds, but in all other cases it took only 27 seconds.

The second test was to copy a file from iPhone to MacBook Pro. The included cable from the iPhone showed a result of 4 minutes and 38 seconds, with the cable from Amazon the process took 1 minute and 9 seconds, and the transfer via the Thunderbolt cable took 1 minute and 6 seconds.

Thus, for such tasks, it is not worth buying a $70 cable, since a regular USB 3.0 cable is enough. However, in Apple branded stores, customers are dissuaded from purchasing third-party cables.
