Android 12, top-end Snapdragon SoC, 6000 mAh and removable controllers – this is a Qualcomm handheld console

According to Android Police, Qualcomm is building a game console that will run Android and have a design similar to the Nintendo Switch.

The source has already seen a prototype of the device, which is expected to launch in 2022. It truly resembles a Nintendo Switch in shape and detachable controllers on each side. It is reported that these controllers will be produced by a very well-known accessory company.

The console resembles a large and thick smartphone, additional space will allow you to install all the necessary stuffing, as well as a 6000 mAh battery. At the same time, a 4310 mAh battery is installed in the Nintendo Switch. Qualcomm will also add support for Quick Charge so the device can be charged in no time and back to play.

Nintendo Switch

Qualcomm did not stop at the external similarity to the Nintendo Switch. The device can also be connected to a monitor or TV to display the picture on a large screen.

Qualcomm will ship the device with Android 12 and Google apps and services. The as-yet-unreleased Epic Games Store app is also expected to be installed on the device, in addition to Qualcomm’s own content platform.

The Qualcomm gaming console is expected to be powered by the next generation Snapdragon SoC and Snapdragon X55 modem. The set-top box will also have GPS, Bluetooth, accelerometers and feedback.

Nintendo Switch

The source says Qualcomm is targeting a $ 300 price tag. It also revealed that Qualcomm hopes to inspire its partners to create similar devices.
