And when smartphones with 500-watt charging? Oppo will launch a device with 240W charging next year

The company showed a prototype of such a solution at the beginning of the year, and now the Digital Chat Station insider reports that the serial product will be released next year.

What kind of smartphone it will be is still completely unclear. Perhaps, as is often the case now, it will be some kind of separate version of the flagship model, which, moreover, may not enter the global market, remaining a Chinese exclusive.

During the prototype demonstration, Oppo said that it takes only 9 minutes to fully charge a smartphone with an unknown capacity battery, and only 3 minutes to replenish half the charge. This is faster than any other modern charger offers, but modern 120W chargers can do the job in about 15 minutes, and whether you need to double the power to save a few minutes is an open question.

Digital Chat Station was previously the first to accurately announce the specifications and release dates of Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
