AMOLED WQHD+, 120Hz, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Zeiss Optics and 80W. The best-selling Vivo X80 Pro arrives in Europe – where prices are the lowest
Vivo has unveiled its new flagship smartphone Vivo X80 Pro for the international market. The novelty has been on sale in China for some time and turned out to be absolute bestsellers across all sales channels.
Unlike China, in Europe it will be offered only in a version based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and variations from the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 for the international market are not yet provided. In addition, only one configuration is offered – with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory, as well as one color option – black.
The price in different regions is slightly different. So, the maximum cost was in Germany and Italy – they ask for 1300 euros for a novelty. The most affordable offer in Austria is 1100 euros. If we translate prices from the local currency into Euro, then we can also note the Czech Republic – 1,092 euros, and Romania – 1,113 euros. At the same time, in Poland the price is not humane and reaches 1286 euros.
Release dates also vary by region. The earliest sales start in the Czech Republic – June 23.
The Vivo X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch 2K (3200 x 1440 pixels) Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch layer polling rate, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 32MP front camera, a rear camera with Zeiss optics (50 MP, 48 MP, 12 and 8 MP), 4700 mAh battery with support for 80 W wired charging and 50 W wireless, Android 12 operating system with Funtouch OS 12 shell.

But Intel only managed to release competitors for the Threadripper 5000. Asus confirms that the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 will be released in the second half of the year

AMD is indeed going to launch Ryzen Threadripper 7000 processors in the second half of this year. Previously, these were just rumors and leaks, and now this was announced by an Asus representative.
Interestingly, he mentioned this in a video demonstrating the work of the Intel Sapphire Rapids WS platform, the processors of which are currently competing with the Threadripper 5000, but soon they will have to compete with the Threadripper 7000.
Threadripper 7000 will switch to a new socket and a new Zen 4 architecture. This will bring them support for DDR5 memory, probably PCIe 5.0 interface. In addition, the top-end Threadripper 7000s are expected to be 96-core, just like their sister Epyc Genoa.
