American teens are obsessed with the iPhone, but not happy with the Apple TV +
Research firm Piper Sandler recently conducted a survey and found out a lot of interesting facts about smartphone users among teenagers. It turns out that 9 out of 10 teens use an iPhone, not an Android smartphone.
The study involved more than 7,000 teens in the United States, of which 88% said they are iPhone users. 90% of respondents also added that they want the iPhone as their next phone. These teens also think Apple Pay is the second most popular payment method besides cash. But they also enjoy using Venmo.
But not all Apple products are ahead of their competitors. For example, Apple TV + is nowhere near as popular as Netflix and YouTube. The latter two are the most popular streaming services for teens in the US.
Taking Stock with Teens is a semi-annual research project that collects information from 7,000 teens with an average age of 16.1 years. Discretionary spending patterns, fashion trends, technology, brand and media preferences are assessed through a survey of a geographically diverse subset of US secondary schools. Since the project began in 2001, 201,800 adolescents have been interviewed.

Another analyst firm SellCell found that Apple brand loyalty hit an all-time high in 2020. The source claims that 92% of customers are not going to change the Apple brand.
