AMD versus deficit. The company promises to increase shipments of Ryzen 5000 processors by 20%

The market is experiencing an acute shortage of not only video cards, but also desktop processors – especially AMD products. The company’s conventional and hybrid processors are so popular that buying some models in the Ryzen 5000 line is no easier than conquering Mount Everest. The company, in turn, understands the complexity of the situation and makes every effort to eliminate (at least partially) the deficit. According to the latest announcement, AMD will increase shipments of Ryzen 5000 line processors by 20% in the second quarter of this year compared to the first quarter of the year.
One of the main reasons for the scarcity of Ryzen 5000 is rumored to be a shift away from Ryzen 5000 and Navi 2X GPUs in favor of SoCs for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles. As a result, both AMD processors, AMD graphics cards, and gaming consoles are in short supply. How and by what means AMD is going to increase the production of CPU and GPU is not clear, but in any case it is a step in the right direction. Another question is whether the global market will notice an increase in production by these very 20%, and will this not affect the production of SoCs for game consoles?
