AMD told when to wait for Radeon RX 6700, RX 6700 XT and Radeon RX 6000M

Today’s presentation from AMD turned out to be rich in processor innovations, but the company also said something about promising video cards. First of all, we are interested, of course, in the relatively affordable models Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT, designed to replace the Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT.
In general, many believed that some new models of AMD video cards will officially present today, but this did not happen: new items from the company’s graphics division are “expected in the first half of 2021.” This applies to both the Radeon RX 6000M for laptops and the desktop Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT. However, the latter are more specific: their premiere is expected at the junction of the first and second quarters of this year, that is, in late March – early April. But AMD is still losing the “mobile battle”, as Nvidia introduced the Ampere GPU for notebooks today, and the finished devices with them will go on sale on January 26th.
It looks like a reference Radeon RX 6700
Interestingly, the design of the Radeon RX 6700 has already been declassified. This video card is shown in the image above. As you can see, it is quite compact, as it has only two fans, has an illuminated series logo and two 8-pin connectors (although there will probably be variants with one 8- and one 6-pin connectors). In a PC case, this model will notice the space of two slots. However, this is a reference version, and partner versions can be more massive.
AMD is on track to launch the first notebooks with #RDNA2 in the first half of 2021, and you'll see mainstream RDNA 2 desktop graphics card designs in the first half of the year as well. #CES2021 pic.twitter.com/EW2fBpSFDq

During today’s event, AMD CEO Lisa Su demonstrated the work of one of the promising mobile video cards – in the game Dirt 5 at a resolution of 1440p, it provided a frame rate of 60 FPS. Judging by the data provided by Nvidia, this is approximately the level of the mobile RTX 3060. That is, it was supposedly tested with the Radeon RX 6700M.
