AMD Ryzen 5000 processors are officially compatible with motherboards based on chipsets of the 500 and 400 series (in the second case, not with all models), but this does not mean that support for the current line of AMD CPUs cannot appear in motherboards built on older chipsets – through the efforts of enthusiasts. For example, according to the source, Ryzen 5000 is already running on six ASRock motherboards based on the X370 chipset. Also, enthusiasts are developing a similar BIOS for models based on B350 and A320 chipsets.
With the new beta BIOS, Ryzen 5000 is now supported on the following ASRock motherboards: X370 Gaming K4, X370 Gaming X, X370 Killer SLI, X370 Killer SLI ac, X370 TAICHI and X370 Professional Gaming. The performance has been verified and raises no objections: the POST self-test completes correctly, the system boots. However, some errors may occur, after all, the BIOS has a beta status.
