AMD Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT with 12GB VRAM Coming January 2021

The popular Videocardz portal reports that AMD will release the Radeon RX 6700 and 6700 XT graphics cards in January 2021. Both models will be equipped with 12 GB of video memory. They will compete with the GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti generation RTX 30 Ampere from nVidia, respectively.

Earlier, an insider revealed the power consumption of these models. The TGP of the more expensive version will be in the range of 186-211 W, the younger video card – in the region of 146-156 W.

The Radeon RX 6700 and 6700 XT will be based on the Navi 22 graphics core. The number of computing units will be 36 for the RX 6700 and 40 for the 6700 XT.

In addition, it is argued that based on GPU Navi 22 in the future will begin to produce video cards for top gaming laptops.

It is possible that the mobile versions of the RX 6700 / RX 6700 XT will be shown before CES 2021. Ryzen 5000 series processors for notebooks are expected to be announced at the same time.

I would like to believe that AMD will be able to avoid problems with the supply of the Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT and, unlike the Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT, the launch will turn out to be real, not a paper one.

By the way, today the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was spotted in Geekbench.
