AMD Confirms Navi 23 Has 32MB Infinity Cache While VanGogh APU Does Not
A new patch has recently been released for AMKFD, the Linux kernel HSA driver for AMD APUs. It lists the L1, L2, and L3 cache sizes for various AMD GPUs.
The source quoted an AMD employee as saying, “The L1 cache information has been updated and the L2 and L3 information has been added. The changes affected ASIC Vega10 and newer. There is no change for older ASICs prior to Vega10. “
The update contains cache information for the Sienna Cichlid (Navi 21), Navy Flounder (Navi 22) and Dimgrey Cavefish (Navi 23) GPUs. Infinity Cache is not directly mentioned, but the file lists the L3 cache, which is, in fact, Infinity Cache. While Navi 21 has 128 * 1024 (128MB) Infinity Cache, the newly released Navi 22 has 96MB and Navi 23 has 32MB. The file also contains information about VanGogh and Aldebaran. While the latter shouldn’t have included Infinity Cache as it’s an accelerator, not a GPU, the lack of Infinity Cache on VanGogh might come as a surprise to many. This future APU will feature a Zen2 compute core and integrated Navi graphics. Presumably this is a dedicated APU for an unnamed handheld console. It is possible, of course, that this is just another mid-range APU.
It is not yet clear which AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards will be based on Navi 23 GPUs. There are rumors that Navi 23 could be used in the Radeon RX 6600 series, while others point to the Radeon RX 6500 series. AMD is also working on Navi 24 , a low-end GPU that is likely to be used in low-cost laptops. However, it can also be launched on the desktop RX 6300 series if AMD deems it necessary.

Huawei Mate 50 will allow you to call and send messages even after the battery is low

Interesting information has emerged about the flagship Huawei Mate 50 series of smartphones, which could be released as early as September this year.
The new version of the Harmony 3.0 operating system, which will run smartphones of the Huawei Mate 50 series, will have an emergency mode that turns on after the battery is low. In this mode, users will retain the ability to receive and send text messages. In addition, you will still be able to make an emergency call.
That is, even after the smartphone informs you that the battery is completely discharged, you will remain in touch for some time. Most likely, you should not expect any amazing technologies from this function. It’s just that the operating system will keep counting the battery charge level, saving some percentage for emergency mode. And when Harmony 3.0 reports that the battery is empty at 0, in fact, it will retain a certain percentage of the charge.
According to previous news, the Huawei Mate 50 series will consist of four models, including Mate 50e, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 RS.
Today we published photos of covers or back panels of the Mate 50 RS.
