AMD AGESA 1.1.9.0 microcode update released

AMD has announced four major changes to the AGESA 1.1.9.0 microcode, which has become available to motherboard and PC manufacturers.
First, the AGESA update adds support for the S0i3 sleep state in Windows 10.
Secondly, the update should improve system stability when overclocking with FCLK in the 1800-2000 MHz range.
The third point is support for “motherboards on the X570 chipset without a fan.” It is difficult to say whether this means the fan stop mode on existing motherboards or whether it is a new wave of motherboards based on X570 without active cooling. As an example of such a board, we can recall the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero model. Perhaps the firmware helps to reduce the heat dissipation of the chipset.
Finally, the description mentions a “general increase in stability”.
How soon the UEFI update from AGESA 1.1.9.0 is released for a particular board depends on its manufacturer. The first updates are expected to start rolling out later this month.
