AMD 3rd Gen EPYC Milan Zen 3 Processors Launching Q1 2021

AMD has confirmed that its 3rd Gen EPYC Milan processors are in development and will launch in Q1 2021. The information came from the Hardwareluxx resource.

AMD announced that it will begin shipping its next generation EPYC Milan processors to its VIP customers this quarter. AMD’s 3rd Gen EYPC processor line will officially launch in the first quarter of 2021. This means that additional technical information about EPYC may be presented at CES 2021. In the meantime, AMD is hiding technical information about the new processor.

AMD EPYC Milan processors will replace the EPYC Rome line of processors currently in service. The main feature of EPYC Milan should be the new Zen 3 core architecture, built on an improved 7nm process technology. In addition to a completely new core architecture, AMD EPYC Milan Zen 3 processors will receive a 19% increase in IPC over Zen 2 processors.
