The organization Bluetooth Special Interest Group, which develops standards for Bluetooth, as well as certification of devices equipped with support for such technologies, has published information on the certification of a new smartwatch from this manufacturer, called Amazfit GTR 2.
The corresponding page on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group website was launched on September 11, the Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch received the model number A1952. It is known that the device connects to smartphones and other devices using the Bluetooth 5.0 module.
Insiders point out that the Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch is codenamed “Lisbon”. The watch should have a round AMOLED display, just like its predecessor, it will be offered to users in two sizes. In terms of features, the new smartwatch is expected to have more sport modes, an improved heart rate sensor, and probably a sensor to measure blood oxygen saturation. There is also a possibility that the international version of the watch will have support for the Amazon Alexa voice assistant.
Since the Amazfit GTR 2 has already been Bluetooth SIG certified, they are expected to be announced shortly.
