All the details about Twitter Circle – a new feature of the social network

Published

on

We already reported that Twitter started testing “Circles” (Twitter Circle) today, and now we have details about this feature.

Twitter Circle can be described as the equivalent of a “Close Friends” list on social media. When you tweet to your Circle, only those you have added to it will be able to see and reply to your tweets.

Twitter has created a new page in the help center that explains everything about the Twitter Circle. It’s not the same as Twitter Communities, and it’s not the same as having a secure account (where only those who are allowed can see your tweets).

Currently, you can only have one circle, and the number of people in it is limited to 150 users. Only you can see the full list of users in your circle, and tweets posted in your circle cannot be retweeted. While Circle restricts who can view certain Tweets, it doesn’t stop them from re-sharing media or screenshots of your content. Finally, once you have been added to a Circle, you cannot remove yourself from it.

Twitter is only testing this feature for some users around the world. To find out if you’re part of the test group, you should see the option to create a “Circle” popup when tweeting on Android, iOS, or Twitter.com.

Anyone can become a part of the Circle, even those you don’t follow. Only members of your Circle can see, reply to, and read replies to your Tweets when they are posted in your Circle.

Android devices that support the standard UVC (USB video class) mode will be able to stream the video stream, while all software processing will be done at the system level, that is, external applications such as Camo or DroidCam will not be required.

It is not yet clear whether this feature will be available to all smartphones with Android 14 or only the branded Pixel. If, nevertheless, the company decides not to make the feature exclusive, then all smartphones and tablets will receive support for this feature.

Enthusiasts have released Android 13 for the almost five-year-old Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note9

The One UI 5.0 skin based on Android 13 is supported by many Samsung smartphones, but the Galaxy S9 and Note9 are not on this list.

The mobile developer community XDA Developers reported that Android 13 and One UI 5.0 are now available thanks to the unofficial Noble ROM 3.0 ported to the Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note9. Developer AlexisXDA used the Android 13 firmware for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note10 Lite to create a version suitable for 2018 flagships.

Noble ROM 3.0 is currently only available for Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note9 versions based on Exynos 9810.

Of course, you can use such firmware only at your own peril and risk, being well aware of what you are doing and what to do if something goes wrong.
