Agilex M – First Intel Agilex FPGAs with HBM2e memory and DDR4, DDR5 and LPDDR5 controllers
Responding to the exponential growth of data in today’s world and the shift from centralized compute clusters and storage to a more distributed architecture that “processes data everywhere,” Intel introduced the Agilex M Series Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). , massively parallel architecture and huge I/O bandwidth. These qualities make FPGAs attractive for accelerating a wide range of tasks, from supercomputing to data storage and networking.
According to Intel, the new FPGAs have the highest throughput of any such product. They have the DSP with the highest “computation density”, that is, the ratio of performance to die area. In addition, these are the first Intel Agilex family FPGAs to integrate HBM2e memory and DDR4, DDR5, and LPDDR5 memory controllers. The Agilex M FPGA features support for maximum transfer rates, PCIe Gen5, Compute Express Link, 400G Ethernet, and serial transceivers operating at speeds up to 116Gbps.
It remains to add that these are the first FPGAs designed for release on the 7-nm Intel process technology.

Telegram Premium is getting closer – the messenger will no longer be “free forever”

Since its global launch, the Telegram messenger has positioned itself as a “free forever” product. This message appeared when installing the program on Android. More precisely, the slogan was: “Telegram is free forever. Without advertising. No subscription fees.” But now it looks like things are about to change.
Developer Alessandro Paluzzi said that the text of the slide has changed in the section with translations for the client applications of the messenger. Now it looks like this: “Telegram offers free unlimited cloud storage for chats and media files.” Although there has been no official statement from the developers so far, it can be assumed that this is preparation for the launch of Telegram Premium.
In the fall of 2021, advertising appeared in the messenger: ads began to be displayed in large channels and groups. Premium features were also previously announced: in particular, paid account holders will receive a special badge next to their name, full-screen emojis and some other features will be available to them.
Thus, Telegram plans to improve the monetization of the product.

A brand new Apple product could be unveiled in a week. The company registers the trademark realityOS

It seems that Apple may at least nominally introduce its mixed reality headset in the near future.
Shortly before the WWDC 2022 event, which starts in a week, two company applications for the registration of the realityOS trademark were discovered on the Web at once. Recall that this will be the name of the operating system for the Apple headset.
These applications were filed back in December, but the important thing is that they have a foreign filing deadline – the date by which an applicant must file a foreign patent application in order to claim an earlier domestic patent application – June 8th. That is, two days after WWDC. That is, it is very likely that it is at WWDC 2022 that the Cupertino giant will for the first time tell something about its headset, or at least its OS.

Shargeek is preparing fast charging, which is similar to the very first Apple Macintosh

The Shargeek company, which is known for the production of accessories, has announced a new product for fans of old computers. The Retro 35 Charger looks like a small replica of the Apple Macintosh 128K.
Technically, this is a GaN charger equipped with a USB Type-C connector and capable of delivering power up to 35 watts. The novelty supports PPS, PD 3.0 and QC 3.0 fast charging standards, and its “monitor” glows in different colors depending on the operating mode. Yellow means normal charging, blue means fast, and green means super fast. Although it is not yet clear how much power the block produces in each of the modes.
The novelty was presented on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform, while money is being raised for the release. At this stage, the price is $25 for sponsors, in the future it will increase to $49. By default, the Retro 35 is equipped with a US plug, but the manufacturer also offers adapters for sockets in other countries.
Note that the novelty has already collected more than $500 thousand, although the creators of the project requested only $4 thousand. And there are still 25 days of campaign ahead.
