Sonos and Ikea have announced a smart floor lamp with a built-in speaker called Symfonisk. This is a multifunctional and stylish device that combines a lighting system and a sound device.

In technical terms, this is an ordinary floor lamp, the lampshade of which was installed directly on the column. It can be used alone or as a rear home theater speaker.

There are control buttons on the body of the device. In addition, the Symfonisk floor lamp is compatible with IKEA’s proprietary smart home gateway. This will allow it to connect to other gadgets using the Matter protocol. There is also support for AirPlay 2.

The novelty will go on sale in January 2023 for $260. Different lampshades will be available, but it’s not yet clear how many are planned.

In the US, sales of the updated Subaru Outback started. The cross-station wagon of the 2023 model year has experienced a “facelift”: the front has changed a little, full LED headlights have appeared, and the wheel arches have widened. As for the more expensive versions equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 11.6 inches, such a system already supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto protocols by default.

The Outback is the second most popular Subaru model in the US. Between January and November 2022, 132,465 of these cars were sold. In first place is the Subaru Crosstrek with sales of 141,651. The brand’s third best-selling vehicle in the US is the Forester SUV.
