Adata Technology has announced that it is preparing to release DDR5 memory modules that provide significant gains in speed, volume and bandwidth per processor core. In development, Adata works closely with motherboard manufacturers MSI and Gigabyte to thoroughly validate and optimize DDR5 modules on the latest Intel platforms.
TrendForce analysts have named the year when the “DDR5 era” will begin
The collaboration is expected to ensure that the full potential of DDR5 is used with these platforms, as well as to explore DDR5 overclocking capabilities. According to the plan, Adata and board manufacturers will announce DDR5 modules and boards at the same time.
DDR5 memory modules from Adata will operate at effective frequencies up to 8400 MHz, and the volume of one module will go up to 64 GB. The modules are rated for 1.1 V supply and support ECC. No pricing information yet.
