NASA SLS launch vehicle over budget by $6 billion and six years behind schedule

NASA’s SLS super-heavy booster is already over budget by $6 billion and six years behind schedule, according to a recent report.
A recent report generated by the NASA Inspector General’s review indicates that NASA’s spending on the Artemis program will reach $93 billion by 2025, including the $23.8 billion already spent on SLS through 2022.
Despite a successful first run earlier this year, the Inspector notes that the project involves additional costs and a further shift in the schedule. Moreover, if the existing problems are not resolved in time, this may jeopardize the entire mission of Artemis.
As for delays, out of the six years mentioned, five years of delay, and at the same time an additional almost $ 2 billion, fell on Northrop Grumman accelerators. The bottom line is that the SLS project initially involved the partial use of old equipment from the days of the Space Shuttle program. Of course, with the necessary upgrades. Northrop Grumman boosters were one such element.
The inspector blames the situation on the cost-plus pricing method and recommends switching to fixed prices. In general, NASA agreed with all eight of the inspector’s recommendations.

Like 635 hp few. In Germany, the BMW M5 CS sedan was “pumped” up to 823 hp.

The BMW M5 CS is the most powerful combustion-engined M model in BMW history, and now the sedan is even more powerful. If in the base the power of its 4.4-liter V8 engine is 635 hp, then after the intervention of specialists from the Manhart tuning studio, the engine began to produce 823 hp! Even the base BMW M5 CS accelerates to 100 km / h in 3 seconds, and the boosted version is even more dynamic, although exact data is not given.
In addition to increasing engine power, the specialists reduced the weight of the sedan by 70 kg: they installed new lighter wheels on the car, and replaced the standard seats with similar ones, but with a composite frame instead of a metal one. Other changes include KW adjustable springs and a stainless steel exhaust system with control valves.

BMW, Audi and Mercedes have tightened up. Introduced luxury 5-meter Toyota Crown Sedan on the Lexus LS platform

Toyota is systematically working on expanding the Crown line – earlier in Japan, a flagship sedan was produced under this designation, and now Crown is a separate brand. It already includes a Crown cross-sedan and an interesting Crown Sport crossover, and now a regular Crown sedan has been declassified in Japan.
The car turned out to be really big: the dimensions are 5030 x 1890 x 1470 mm, the wheelbase is 3000 mm. That is, it is slightly larger than the BMW 5-series. Of course, the sedan is designed for five, in the base it has 19-inch wheels, in the top version – 20-inch.
There is no data on the motors, but the Crown sedan will be presented in two versions: a conventional hybrid and a hybrid with a hydrogen power plant. It is no coincidence that the sedan is based on the TNGA-L platform, on which the Lexus LS and the Toyota Mirai hydrogen car are built.
If outwardly the Crown sedan looks like a cross-sedan, then inside it is decorated no worse than a Lexus – with natural wood inserts and genuine leather. The space in the rear seats is simply royal. At the push of a button on the sidewall, the front passenger seat can be moved forward to provide even more legroom for the rear passenger.
