It seems that Samsung took into account the problems with the Galaxy S22 line of smartphones and did not repeat them in new devices when it comes to cooling systems.
Well-known insider Ice Universe has published a visual comparison of the approximate sizes of cooling systems in each flagship of the past generation and the new one.
As you can see, all systems have become noticeably larger, and in the younger model, instead of a graphite film, an evaporation chamber has appeared.
Whether this is enough for the new products not to overheat and not throttling so much, tests will show, but the performance, as we can already see, is really good. Recall that today we also saw a comparison of the Galaxy S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra cameras.
Ice Universe was the first to accurately talk about the new trend for smartphones with waterfall screens, about the notch in the iPhone X, about the new design of the iPhone 14 and about Samsung’s 200-megapixel image sensor.
A working smartphone with a sliding screen, part of which serves as an additional display, was shown at MWC 2024. Live photos of Tecno Phantom Ultimate
Tecno showcased its vision for the future at MWC 2024 by unveiling several innovative prototypes including the Phantom Ultimate smartphone. Last year, the company introduced the concept of a folding phone, which has now become a real working device.
The Phantom Ultimate is compact to begin with, featuring a 6.55-inch display. But with a simple press of a button, the screen diagonal grows to 7.11 inches, which is more suitable for videos or games. The process takes only 1.3 seconds.
Tecno has added a “second display” which is actually a part of the main screen that is visible through the protective window. This eliminates the need for a separate screen.
The user interface and apps easily adapt as Phantom Ultimate expands or contracts, ensuring a seamless experience no matter the screen size.
The thickness of the device is 9.93 mm, which is an excellent indicator for this segment.
Users sing praises to the Redmi K70 smartphones; almost 3 million devices of the line have been sold in three months
Redmi today announced that sales of Redmi K70 series smartphones have crossed 2.8 million units in just three months of sales.
Robust sales are accompanied by extremely positive user reviews of these smartphones: on the JD.com site there are 98% of them, and on the TMall site the Redmi K70 has the highest rating.
All models in the line are in high demand, but especially the Redmi K70: it is the sales champion in China in the price range from 2 to 3 thousand yuan ($280-415). Probably, Redmi timed the release of new versions of Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro – with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory – to coincide with the publication of these statistics. Their prices are, respectively, 375 and 500 dollars.
When the original ones are not offered by market leaders. Nubia introduced a $200 camera phone and a $200 gaming smartphone
It seems that Nubia has decided to significantly expand its range of smartphones, without releasing a single ordinary device that does not stand out in any way.
We’ve already seen the Nubia Music model with a giant speaker and two headphone jacks. The company also brought several more interesting devices to MWC 2024.
For example, Nubia Focus and Focus Pro. These are two very similar smartphones that, at their low price, can offer something unusual. As you can guess from the name, these are camera-focused devices. It is the same for both models: Neovision with a resolution of 108 megapixels. As Nubia itself says, the Pro model covers five focal lengths in the range of 18-72mm. The basic version has four focal lengths.
At the same time, on the side of the new products there is a mechanical slider for launching the camera and a separate button for shooting.
Against this background, the presence of the Unisoc T760 SoC and the HD+ screen in the base model look strange. Be that as it may, the new products also have 8/256 GB of memory, 120 Hz displays with a diagonal of 6.72 inches (Focus Pro has Full HD+ resolution) and batteries with a capacity of 5000 mAh with 33-watt charging. The base model will cost $200.
Another unusual smartphone is Nubia Neo 2. This is a gaming device, but a budget one. It costs the same $200 and is based only on the Unisoc T820, but it has mechanical triggers on the side – an exclusively gaming element, found very rarely and only on flagship gaming smartphones.
There’s also a huge 6000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging. Among the rest, it is worth noting the 120 Hz screen with a diagonal of 6.72 inches, 8/256 GB of memory and an aggressive design.
