A screen without cutouts and a flat side frame like the iPhone 13. Renders of the Sony Xperia 1 IV, the most conservative flagship of 2022, have been published
Steve Hemmerstoffer, known on Twitter under the nickname OnLeaks, has published high-quality renderings of Sony’s future flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1 IV. Judging by these pictures, it will not be easy to distinguish the new model from its predecessor.
Sony Xperia 1 IV runs the risk of being the most conservative flagship of 2022, because there is neither a screen bent on the sides, nor a matrix with minimal frames. There are noticeable frames above and below the display, the front camera is integrated into the top, so the screen does without cutouts. The side frame is flat and resembles the frame of the iPhone 13. The screen, by the way, is also flat. Its diagonal will be 6.5 inches. In terms of dimensions, the novelty will be close to its predecessor, the source gives the following dimensions: 164.7 x 70.8 x 8.3-9.5 mm. This means that the capacity of the battery will not change much. Recall that the Xperia 1 IV uses a 4500 mAh battery.
The camera block, in comparison with its predecessor, will not visually change: it is still vertical, still in the corner. This time there will be three modules, one of them is periscope with optical zoom. The Xperia 1 1V will retain the standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner built into the power key.
Nothing is said about the characteristics of the Xperia 1 1V, but it is logical to expect a 4K screen like its predecessor, 12-megapixel (but probably once again improved sensors) and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform. The official premiere of the Xperia 1 1V is expected closer to summer or summer, and the price will still be high.
Steve Hemmerstoffer is a reliable insider, many of whose leaks were subsequently fully confirmed. In particular, this was the case with Samsung Galaxy S21, Sony Xperia XZ4, Google Pixel 4 XL, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Sony Xperia 10 III.
There is almost no such thing in any smartphone with a price of up to $500. Vivo S17 Pro got a TV camera
Vivo has introduced a mid-range smartphone S17 Pro, which stands out from the background of most similar devices and even many more expensive ones with the presence of a camera.
Here it’s a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 sensor with only 2x zoom, but it’s better than nothing. Now even many base models of flagships are completely devoid of a camera, and here we are talking about a phone with a price of $435.
The main camera here relies on a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V sensor, and there is also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The smartphone is also equipped with a large 120Hz 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels and a brightness of up to 1300 cd/m2 and PWM with a frequency of 2160 Hz.
The heart is the pre-top SoC Dimensity 8200, there are also 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of flash memory. Of the rest, a 4600 mAh battery with 80-watt charging, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and a thickness of 7.46 mm with a weight of 188 g can be noted.
I bought Realme, and it looks almost like an iPhone. Budget Realme C53 declassified before the announcement
All the main parameters of the Realme C53 smartphone have appeared on the Web, which is very similar to the back of the iPhone Pro.
The ITHome resource claims that the smartphone appeared on the official website of the company, but does not provide links. At least on the Chinese and Indian sites, there is no such model yet.
The device received a large 6.74-inch 90-Hz IPS display with a waterdrop notch and a frequency of 560 cd / m2, Unisoc T612 SoC, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory.
There is also a 5000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging, a 50 MP main camera, a microSD slot and a headphone jack. The thickness of the case is only 7.5 mm.
The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will grow, and the iPhone 17 and 17 Plus will finally get 120Hz screens. This is a reliable source
iPhone Pro smartphones in the next year’s lineup will grow strongly, and the younger iPhone 17 will finally get 120Hz screens.
Ross Young, an industry analyst and founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, confirmed his own data that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will be larger than their predecessors. The former will receive a 6.27-inch display, while the latter will have a 6.86-inch panel. Probably Apple will refer to them as 6.3 and 6.9 inches respectively.
The screens will be 120Hz and still have the same Dynamic Island cutout. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models will retain the size of their predecessors and 60Hz screens.
In the iPhone 17 line, older models will receive the same panels as the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, but instead of the Dynamic Island cutout, they will only have a cutout for the front camera, and the Face ID module will be placed completely under the screen. But the iPhone 17 and 17 Plus models will retain Dynamic Island, but will finally get 120-Hz panels.
Through his work, Young has access to information related to the screens, so he often knows more than ordinary insiders. In particular, he talked about 120 Hz screens in the iPhone 12 Pro and 60 Hz screens in the younger devices of the line.
