Well-known experts iFixit disassembled new Apple headphones, which began to be sold a little less than a month ago. Moreover, they compared the third-generation AirPods in video to the Beats Fit Pro, which debuted in early November.
IFixit naturally noticed that both headphone models would be very difficult to repair, and replacing the battery would be almost impossible.
In a six-minute YouTube video, an iFixit expert takes apart both Apple audio accessories and gives viewers a glimpse of their internals. Considering their small size, both devices are made in the form of a kind of multilayer “sandwich” of components, which includes thin cables, microcircuits and a battery for each earphone.
Disassembling these headphones proved to be a tricky process. iFixit required the use of a vise to break the adhesive seal and wedge the cutter between the two plastic plates.
Unsurprisingly, iFixit gave the third-generation AirPods and Beats Fit Pro just zero out of 10 on the maintainability scale.
This is how transparent Apple AirPods and Apple charger look like. Live photos published
Apple prototype collector Giulio Zompetti shared photos of Apple AirPods transparent fully wireless earbuds and a branded 29W charger.
In the photo we see Apple AirPods of the first or second generation in a transparent plastic case, which demonstrates what is hidden inside the device. No details, but the source suggests that this is an engineering prototype used for internal testing.
The charger in the photo also has a transparent case. The company offered a 29W power adapter with a 12-inch MacBook, but the charger was discontinued and replaced with a 30W power adapter.
Giulio Zompetti previously shared photos of various devices, including the Apple Watch Series 3 smartwatch with additional connectors, the original iPad with two 30-pin ports, the prototype iPhone 12 Pro and third generation iPod Touch with an additional connector and camera, and a working charger. an AirPower station that never went on sale.
This AirPods prototype resembles the fully wireless Nothing Ear (1), which has a transparent design. The device was launched earlier this year by a company led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.
iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, AirPods and other Apple appliances have risen in price by 25% after the dramatic collapse of the national currency in Turkey
Apple has resumed sales of its products in Turkey just days after all sales ceased due to the collapse of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and rising economic concerns.
A couple of days before that, Apple stopped its products in the country: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, AirPods could not be bought even in large shopping centers. The Turkish lira plummeted 20% on Tuesday after President Erdogan said he supported a key rate cut amid rising inflation.
Due to the exchange rate of the lira, Apple products were cheaper in Turkey than in the US, so the Cupertino-based company abruptly stopped sales, and after the resumption of trade, it turned out that prices had skyrocketed by 25%.
Since the beginning of November, the Turkish national currency has depreciated by 26.6%, and since the beginning of the year – by 43%.
For black lovers. Fancy Nothing ear (1) headphones coming soon in this color
Nothing ear (1) headphones have become some of the most unusual headphones on the market due to their design, and in general have been warmly received by thematic resources. But so far they are only available in white. This may change soon.
The well-known insider Evan Blass, who constantly shares various information about smartphones and other devices, and this information is often later confirmed, published the first photo of Nothing ear (1) in black.
The design of the device, of course, has not changed in any way, but in black the partially transparent headphones look noticeably different. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when such headphones will enter the market, but the manufacturer may well try to have time to release them before the Christmas sales season.
