It often happens when case manufacturers reveal the design of smartphones that have not yet been officially presented, and this is exactly what happened with Huawei Mate 40: the official announcement is only on October 22, but you can evaluate the design of new products right now.

There were images of the Mate 40 camera before that, but only when the smartphone is visible in its entirety, you can estimate its dimensions. As you can see, the block turned out to be just huge. There are five modules in it. What can be mistaken for the sixth is most likely some element of the autofocus system. Perhaps it’s a 3D ToF camera or lidar – like the iPhone 12 Pro.

The front panel is also noteworthy. As you can see, it has two options: with a dual camera embedded on the left, and with a camera located in the cutout at the top. The latter, apparently, consists of three sensors. Well, the fact that the screens will be bent onto the sidewalls has been said for a long time.

Huawei Mate 40 should receive 5nm SoC Kirin 9000, support for 66W charging and EMUI 11 out of the box. However, there are not so many details about these models so far.
