A motorist’s dream: LG Wing with flip-up second display shown in action (video)

Back in May, the media started talking about the unannounced LG Wing, which will feature a side-folding second display. Then we only had a schematic drawing, but now Android Authority posted a video of a smartphone in action.

It’s alive

According to the newspaper, the video demonstrates “almost final sample”, which is working on LG. In the video, the driver shows one of the usage scenarios: while the main display is showing a map, the second one shows the player’s controls. Finally, the user receives a call, and the caller’s name is also displayed on the second screen.

According to the source, the second display flips out from the bottom of the device, and received an aspect ratio of 1: 1. According to rumors, the additional screen will 4-inch, while the main one will be 6.8 inches. The resolution is not yet known, but the processor may be Snapdragon 765 or 765G.

Given that Android supports a couple of applications on a split screen, you can place whatever your heart desires on the second display. Play PUBG and watch YouTube in parallel on one smartphone? Why not.

It is also noteworthy that the main display did not receive a cutout or bangs for selfie cameras… Probably, the lens was placed in a folding second screen, but the “eye” is not visible on the black frame.
