Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the beta version of the Samsung Internet 15.0 browser for users. The update brings quite a few innovations.

The beta version of Samsung Internet 15.0 is already available for download in the Google Play and Galaxy Store app stores. The release of the stable version of Samsung Internet 15.0 is scheduled for late summer 2021.

Samsung Internet 15.0 is switching to Chromium 90, while version 14 is based on the Chromium 87 engine.

The developers have paid great attention to increasing privacy, in particular, there is a new protection against the creation of digital fingerprints – a method that tracks network usage to determine information about users.

Also in Samsung Internet 15.0, it became possible to delete information that the browser saved on the device, and gives an accurate picture of this data. In addition, after activating the “secret” mode, the browser remains in it by default and the user does not need to turn on the function every time.

Another new feature is a home screen widget that makes it easier to find information. In addition, Samsung Internet 15.0 temporarily saves the last viewed web pages so that you can quickly restore them when you reopen them. This reduces the load on the network.

Note that, according to StatCounter, in June Samsung Internet ranks fifth among browsers for all devices around the world, including computers, consoles, smartphones and tablets. If we consider only smartphones, then Samsung Internet ranks third with a share of 6.48%, followed by Google Chrome with 62.63% and Safari with 24.61%.
