Today official sales of the top processor Core i9-13900KS have started. The CPU is distinguished not only by its high price ($700), but also by the extremely high frequency for a production model – high-performance cores reach 6 GHz. And this is right out of the box, without any overclocking.

Based on official prices, the Core i9-13900KS turned out to be $110 more expensive than the Core i9-13900K. There are already first data on the performance of the new Intel flagship in games, although the company this time did not distribute CPU samples to bloggers and thematic media for reviews.

Core i9-13900KS, recall, endowed with 8 high-performance cores and 16 power efficient. It is capable of running 32 threads simultaneously, has 36 MB of Smart Cache and an integrated PCIe controller with support for 20 interface lanes (16 PCIe 5.0 lanes and four PCIe 4.0 lanes). The TDP of the processor is 150W, but this is a base level that can increase significantly with overclocking.

As for the comparison with the mobile RTX 3080 Ti that topped the lineup last generation, it’s better to check out the TechSpot review, which shows that in 4K the new card is on average 58% faster than the old one! This is about the same increase as when moving from RTX 3090 Ti to RTX 4090.

If we talk about the mobile RTX 4080, then it is faster than the mobile RTX 3080 Ti by 25-30% depending on the resolution.

Thus, both new Nvidia mobile graphics cards provide an impressive increase relative to the best mobile solution of the last generation, and the RTX 4090 takes mobile gaming to a new level, because just a few months ago, the RTX 3090, which is now equaled by the mobile RTX 4090, was one of the most powerful graphics cards on the market.

At the same time, as always, it is worth remembering that mobile video cards, unlike desktop ones, can differ greatly due to power limits. The tests above involved cards with maximum limits, but the same RTX 4090, instead of its 175 W, can have a limit of only 80 W, in which case the performance will be completely different.

The Videocardz resource says that it got hold of Nvidia documents, where exactly April is indicated as the launch month of the GeForce RTX 4070.

It is not yet known how much the video card will cost, but it will clearly be cheaper than the $800 RTX 4070 Ti. As for the parameters, at the moment, leaks and rumors say that the card will receive 5888 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR6X memory with a 192-bit bus.

So far we can only guess about performance. That being said, if the leaks are correct, then the performance difference between the RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti will be significantly larger than the RTX 3070/3070 Ti pair, as there is a much larger difference in the number of CUDA cores. At the same time, we recall that the RTX 3070 also has 5888 CUDA cores.
