7 Jazztel things you should know before hiring

Published

on

As a general rule, very few users read the small print of the contracts. The operators do not make a tremendous effort to offer this information clearly either, so today we are going to analyze some aspects that you have to take into account if you want to contract a convergent rate or plan with Jazztel.

The legal conditions of the Jazztel contracts can be consulted through the Useful Information section of the web in which most of the conditioning of its services is offered. In any case, we are going to see what are some of the aspects that we have to take into account before contracting with Jazztel.

Permanence

In the event that we are interested in contracting any of Jazztel’s convergent fiber and mobile rates, we have to take into account that the permanence imposed by the operator will be 12 months and that the price of the rate includes the installation, the router and the line fee. Installation and shipping is free if you contract through their website.

At this time the operator has these possibilities:

  • 300 Mb fiber with a mobile line with 25 GB to browse with unlimited calls both on mobile and landline by €39.95 a month.
  • 300 Mb fiber with two mobile lines with 16 GB to share with unlimited calls on both mobile and landline for 39.95 euros per month.
  • 1 Gb fiber with a mobile line with 25 GB to browse with unlimited calls both on the mobile and on the landline by €47.95 a month.
  • 1 Gb fiber with two mobile lines with 16 GB to share with unlimited calls on both mobile and landline for 47.95 euros per month.

If we are only interested in the fiber, that of Jazztel has 300 Mb, 600 Mb or 1 Gb with landline in which we will only pay for what we speak for €28.95, €29.95 and €36.95 per month respectively being the permanence also of 12 months. The operator gives us the possibility of having unlimited calls on the landline for 3 euros more per month.

Hire mobile only

If we are looking for an operator that offers us mobile-only rates, Jazztel is not going to be our option. The operator does not offer mobile-only rates and the only way to contract a mobile line is if we do it in the form of a convergent fiber and mobile pack.

There was a time when Jazztel had the possibility of contracting mobile-only rates, but it has not offered this service for more than a year. With the launch of the Jazz One and Jazz Duo convergent packs at the end of July 2020 with final rates and prices below 40 euros, Jazztel stopped offering this option to its customers and future customers.

Better hire online

In the constant price battle between mobile operators, some of the most attractive promotions and offers are only available if we contract them online.

In the event that we want to be Jazztel clients, we have certain advantages if we contract online. In this case we will benefit from the free installation and shipping. On the other hand, if we contract in a store or by telephone we will not be able to enjoy these benefits.

Smart gigs

All mobile rates associated with Jazztel fiber have the “Share your GB” option activated free by default. This service gives the option of sharing the mobile data of our rate with other Jazztel mobile lines included in the same contract.

We have the possibility share megabytes on a one-off basis or periodically schedule a specific transfer of gigabytes through the Jazztel app. During the billing period, the line to which gigabytes have been shared will first consume the assigned gigabytes before those of your line.

Jazztel Smart Gigs

unlimited data

Jazztel does not have any mobile rate associated with its fiber that gives us the possibility of having unlimited gigabytes. The convergent operator rates allow us to add additional lines to those that already come as standard, as well as share data between the lines of the same contract, but they do not have the way that those gigabytes are unlimited.

If you are one of those who needs a rate with unlimited data because at the end of the month you always run out of megabytes to navigate, the fact of being able to share them between Jazztel lines may not be enough in some cases. However, if you are one of the people who have gigabytes left over at the end of the month with Jazztel you will not lose it. Thanks to mega deposit we can accumulate the gigabytes that we have not used during the billing cycle for the following month. On the other hand, there is no possibility of accumulating them infinitely, since at the end of a cycle, the data not consumed from the previous cycle is reset.

Fiber 1 Gbps

Jazztel does offer us the possibility of contracting 1 Gbps symmetrical fiber. As we have explained previously, the most complete option consists of 1 Gb symmetrical fiber with line fee included, two mobile lines with 16 GB each and a landline with unlimited calls to both landlines and mobiles per €47.95 per month. You can also opt for the option at the same price and conditions, but with a single mobile line with 25 GB to browse.

Fiber at 1 Gbps

TV service

Just as other operators have their own television service, such as Movistar, Orange or Vodafone, at Jazztel we do not find this possibility of complementing a convergent fiber and mobile rate.

If you want to contract any of the Jazztel services, in the case of television channels and content on demand, you will have to either opt for payment services like Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ or Prime Video or streaming platforms that offer channels and content on demand for free like Pluto TV, Tivify or Rakuten TV.

Smartphone Samsung Galaxy M54 lit up in the Geekbench database. Unfortunately, as previously reported, he will not receive any SoC Snapdragon 888, although this is expected.

Samsung is preparing a smartphone that will be weaker than its predecessor two years ago. Galaxy M54 will receive SoC Exynos 1380

Samsung’s mid-budget novelty will receive the same platform as the Galaxy A54. Probably, the Galaxy A34 will also receive it.

We are talking about the not yet presented Exynos 1380, which will replace the Exynos 1280. In the benchmark, the new SoC scores 750 and almost 2700 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively. And this is almost the level of Snapdragon 778G, that is, this is an excellent result for a mid-budget smartphone. True, we are only talking about processor performance, and we do not yet know which GPU the new SoC will receive.

It is also worth noting that the Galaxy M52 was also based on the Snapdragon 778G, and the Galaxy M53 received a slightly less productive Dimensity 900. Thus, the Galaxy M54 model, at least in terms of the processor part, will be slightly inferior even not to its predecessor, but to the device two years ago.

Bullitt Group and MediaTek want to launch a satellite enabled smartphone

The British manufacturer Bullitt Group, which produces devices under the brands CAT and Motorola, intends to release a smartphone with satellite communications. They want to implement this project together with the Chinese chipmaker MediaTek.

Bullitt Group and MediaTek want to launch a satellite-enabled smartphone

It is assumed that the new smartphone will provide calls and text data via satellite, although it is not yet clear how this will work. The device itself will be released in the first quarter of 2023.

The novelty has been developed for two years, so the project is nearing completion. According to Bullitt Group co-founder Richard Wharton, previously the seamless integration of satellite communications into a smartphone was accompanied by problems, but now they are solved.

The new phone will be the first to use MediaTek’s 3GPP NTN chipset. The software will keep track of what type of connection is currently being used – Wi-Fi or cellular network. The connection to the satellite will be carried out only in the absence of both of these options.

It is claimed that the time to connect to the satellite and send a message is about 10 seconds. This is longer than a regular connection, but still pretty fast.

Note that Apple already has this and Samsung will soon have it.

The GeForce RTX 4080 can also be overclocked to incredible

Galax continues to prove that they are one of the best when it comes to overclocking graphics cards. After the departure of EVGA, Galax as a whole is probably the only company that places a strong emphasis on this direction.

The GeForce RTX 4080 can also be overclocked to incredible frequencies. Galax RTX 4080 SG took the frequency over 3.6 GHz on the core

The GeForce RTX 4080 SG model was able to overclock to a frequency of over 3.6 GHz on the core. More precisely, we are talking about a frequency of 3615 MHz. This is slightly less than the RTX 4090 HOF at 3.8 GHz, but it’s still an incredible figure. Especially if you keep in mind that the GeForce RTX 4080 SG is no match for the HOF versions. At the same time, it is not yet known whether Galax will release the RTX 4080 HOF.

Galax, unfortunately, does not disclose overclocking details, but it can be assumed that we are talking about the use of liquid nitrogen, as in the case of extreme overclocking RTX 4090 HOF.
