50MP Hasselblad camera, 5000mAh, 80W, Android 12 and the top MediaTek platform. Oppo Find X5 is officially the world’s first Dimensity 9000 smartphone
Oppo has released an official teaser image showing the insides of the Find X5 smartphone. Attention in the picture is focused on a single-chip system – this is Dimensity 9000. Thus, Oppo Find X5 will officially become the world’s first smartphone on this top MediaTek SoC.
A similar teaser for the Oppo Find X5 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is an interesting point. The results of preliminary tests indicate that the Dimensity 9000 is faster than the American platform. And, if so, the Find X5 could be faster than the Find X5 Pro.
As for the rest of Find X5’s specifications, it has a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED screen at 120Hz, a 5000mAh battery with support for 80W charging, Android 12. The front camera will have a resolution of 32MP, , brought to mind by Hasselblad specialists, sensors with a resolution of 50, 50 and 13 megapixels will be used. Only one memory configuration is mentioned – with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory. The official premiere of the Find X5 line will take place on February 24.

Will PlayStation have fewer exclusives? Sony plans to release half of its PlayStation Studios games on PC and smartphones

Sony has outlined its immediate plans for the game for PC and mobile platforms.
CEO Jim Ryan said that Sony plans to have half of the games created by its internal studios in fiscal year 2025, including on PC and smartphones.
That is, only 50% of the games will remain exclusive, while the rest will be available to a much larger number of gamers. This is similar to Phil Spencer’s position on the Xbox.
From the chart, you can see that the share of PCs will still be higher than the share of smartphones, which should please gamers who prefer large single-player games. The share of Sony games on smartphones is now about 10%, and in three years it should double. In the case of the PC, there is no exact data, but the share of such projects will not grow so significantly.
Most likely, the big story games for the most part, as now, will be released only on the PlayStation, and will migrate to the PC years later. What kind of games will be released on PC and smartphones? Judging by Ryan’s statement, including game-services. It turns out that Sony is now working on 12 such projects at once. According to the head of PlayStation, if at least some of these projects become successful, it will greatly transform the company’s business structure.
Historically, PlayStation Studios has done an excellent job of building a vast portfolio of single-player games with rich storytelling and beautiful graphics, but we’ve certainly limited ourselves to a fairly narrow section of the gaming market.
By expanding into PCs and mobile devices, and, it must be said, into online services, we have the opportunity to move from a very narrow segment of the overall gaming software market to a presence almost everywhere.
For example, I would say that if we manage to make some of the 12 service games that we develop at PlayStation Studios… if only some of them are commercially successful, then the impact of this will completely transform our business structure over time.
Given the success of Sony games on PC, it’s no surprise that the share of such games will continue to grow. As for the mobile segment, it has long occupied more than half of the entire gaming industry in terms of money. By the way, we recall that the first of the PlayStation 5 exclusives may soon be released on the PC.

When a smartphone with 4G has three times more powerful charging at a significantly lower price. Oppo A57 4G presented

Oppo introduced the A57 4G smartphone. To recall, the A57 5G version debuted in April with a price tag of $235.
The new version costs $ 160, of course, in many respects inferior to the older one, but not in everything. For example, the same battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh is installed here, only the older version has a 10-watt charge, while the younger one has a very decent 33-watt charge for this segment.
In almost all other respects, smartphones are identical, except that the new version has a screen with support for only 60 Hz. At the same time, this is the same IPS panel with a diagonal of 6.56 inches with HD + resolution.
The smartphone has the same 13 MP camera, the same design, the same Android 12 out of the box. Another difference is that the $235 A57 5G offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash, while the A57 4G only has 3GB of RAM and 64GB of flash.

Samsung unveils the Galaxy M23 5G smartphone with a price tag of over $400, but don’t worry about the price

Samsung quietly launched another smartphone on the market – the Galaxy M23 5G.
So far, the novelty is presented only in Brazil, so its price of $ 415 should not scare potential buyers in other countries. Due to the nature of taxation in Brazil, electronics are very expensive there. For example, the Galaxy S22 Ultra costs over $1,800 there.
Thus, we are now most interested in the parameters. In particular, the Snapdragon 750G platform is at the core, which will delight fans of Qualcomm’s SoCs.
Also, the device received 6 GB of RAM, the company does not disclose the amount of flash memory. The novelty offers a 120-Hz display with a diagonal of 6.6 inches, a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels and a 5000 mAh battery with 25-watt charging. As a result, the Galaxy M23 5G is very similar to the Galaxy A23, but the novelty has 5G support, a slightly more productive platform and a higher screen frequency.
